I just wanted to share my experience. I was a neurotic daily weigher for about 15 months post surgery. And this far out it's no more honeymoon. For the past two weeks I have not stepped on the scale. I feel much calmer and peaceful. I'm not obsessing about my numbers on scale hence I'm not getting upset as much and having negative thoughts about my WLS journey. These days I have amped my workouts and I can feel my muscles toning. And it motivates me to keep working out harder and eat right.

    Pre Op Binge

I thought about doing this but my surgeon flat out stated that of I was even 1pound above my goal weight the day of surgery, he will cancel it. I'm not taking any chances. My only suggestion would be to be smart about. Keep the treat to one meal, like if you want Wild Wings have it for lunch but keep the rest of your meals healthy. Do that for every treat until you get it out of your system.

    Support

I am going through the same thing... my family doesn't know that I'm going to have the gastric sleeve because they are very judgmental so I am going through this journey alone. I have a few friends that had the procedure done so they are the only ones that know about it. I'd say, continue to get support from the ppl here or create a YouTube page about your journey....you'd be surprised of how much support you'll get from others! Plateaus!!

I am 3 1/2 months out. I will lose weight 1 week and then stall for 7-10 days. I've been doing this since week 2. The scale continues to go down, sometimes very slowly, so I'm happy. It's just part of the process.

    Pre Op Binge

My doc wouldn't allow it. You had to maintain a steady loss leading up to surgery. If he saw you gaining at the end, which meant binge eating, he would cancel the surgery. I think most everyone goes through this to an extent. The problem is food is just like a drug. Eat something terrible, but then feel that wasn't the right "fix" you were looking for and move onto eating something equally as bad. For me I wish to hell I would have had a last meal at Buffalo Wild Wings and gotten my wing fix taken care of. Problem is I would have gotten that fix and I would just be craving something else. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with having a few cheat meals here and there as long as it doesn't lead to weight gain. I had a good send off weekend prior to my 2 week pre-op diet but it wasn't anything insane. I was really careful in what I ate a few days before and after to offset any potential gain. I suppose you need to look at it as getting things under control at some point. We're all different and everyone handles addictions differently. The 2 week diet is not a walk in the park so bear in mind that the more you binge the tougher those two weeks are going to be.

I have the same problem, my height is 5'4, but some records show 5'5, my surgeon's office said it shouldn't be an issue.

It wouldn't keep me logged in. It seems to be ok right now. Also, I have had issues with following posts as well.
