    Non scale victory

I have so many already now i can't choose lol. I think the fact that my boyfriend was holding me in bed tonight and said i felt "different". I asked what he meant and he said i am much smaller now so it felt like he was cradling me in a way. He just couldn't get over it and hadn't noticed how different i felt in his arms until that moment. He was like "i guess I'll have to lose weight now." His self esteem might have taken a little hit but man i felt so tiny. The night ended well lol. Sent from my SM-G925T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Best feeling ever!

That is one HECK of a NSV!!! (nonscale victory) These are some of the things that keep us goin g for sure!! I can personally say that wouldn't work for me because my hubby has always way outweighed me. But he had his Sleeve surgery and is losing great now! When we got married (I was 17 and he was 23) I weighed 135#'s and he weighed 350. He made me feel so tiny. LOL I did get scared at my highest weight. I got as high as 285#'s. I thought you better do something or you will catch up to him. LOL Something like so many others I fought my weight all of my adult life. Thankfully I got my WLS July 2, 2013. I have maintained my 124# loss for 3 years now. I can't wait for him to get his weight off so we can begin to live life again. Way to go on your weight loss!! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!

I can answer the last question, the Bariatric program is usually very helpful as this is all they do! They check exactly what needs to be done and they'll tell you. It's a win win for everyone involved so they are good about checking on it.

    NSV

Well, it may not seem that big of a deal but yesterday was the last day that I had to take Ursodiol (used to prevent gall stones). I am so happy that there is now one less pill (tablet) that I have to take everyday.

    Gluten intolerance/allergies?

I have celiac so it's absolutely essential that I avoid gluten in its entirety. I have several food allergies as well but none developed post sleeve, they were all pre existing. The gluten free diet plays nicely with good nutrition post-op. Personally I think we have an advantage over those who are tempted by cookies, pasta, pizza, bread etc because we simply can't eat them. You just have to watch for hidden sources of gluten, like soy sauce, anything with modified corn starch as an ingredient, etc.
