This is about me, not you.

I am doing the surgery with a low BMI too. 19 days until surgery. I have told my mother and son. That's it. No one from work or anyone else. I have gained every year. Just 5 years ago I weighed 50 pounds less. I know the way I was coping was a losing battle. I am tired. I want my body back. I want to smile. I want to get dress and not put something back because it won't go over my thighs. I want to stop buying cheap clothes on sale because they fit. I want to go to the beach and wear a swimsuit. I want to actually look in the mirror instead of rushing past it because I don't like the reflection. You are not alone. This is about you. It is your turn. 3 week stall is real

My surgery was on 12/13/16. I first month I lost 29 pounds. Then I stalled for 3 weeks! It was so frustrating. Finally my stall broke today with a 4 pound loss. Don't give up, just keep going. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    STALLS!!! [emoji35]

So I'm 4 weeks post op & I have been eating soft foods just fine for about a week. However, I think I may have hit a stall? My weight has been fluctuating between 5lbs since about the start of week 3. It'll go up 5lbs, then back down. But for the last few days, it's been fluctuating just a few ounces. Can someone tell me if I've hit a stall? I'm not sure if a stall means your weight just stays the same, or if you're not losing anymore past a certain point. I'm quite frustrated but I'm trying not to be because #1 I've just started eating soft foods. #2, it's still early & #3 I should just stay off the scale. Though, inches wise, I'm not losing either. It's just frustrating because I'm working out, eating a sufficient amount of calories, and the only thing I can think of is Protein. Maybe I'm not getting in enough (I don't get in the recommended 60 daily ) I guess my ultimate question is: Is this normal to stall this early on?! When did you stall?! How did you break it? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!

Weight loss is a really simple formula. Calories in vs calories out. Keep at a deficit and it will come off. I find it detrimental to view other people's mega success posts. Number one they might not be telling the whole truth and two everyone is different. Keep on keeping on. You've lost 40 lbs in five months. If you lose another 40 you'll be 230 in June. Pretty impressive. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    two and half years out

I have heard of this on this, Several times, on BP. And if I remember correctly, it was around the 2 year mark. Personally, I have not experienced it. Maybe get hold of your nutrionist from your bariatric team for suggestions. I specifically remember at least one person coming back and mentioning the issue had resolved, but can't recall how. On another note, it's great you have maintained your weight, relatively well. I never got down to my goal weight and have regained about 11 pounds! It's a real struggle to get it off.

    Air Fryer

My wife bought me this for the holidays. It works very well, the meat is nice and tender. Next holiday season I am going to buy her a Sawzall.
