    Questions about bypass in Mexico?

I am also deciding between sleeve and bypass. (Don't want a mini since they aren't common in the US). I'm pretty set on the sleeve because it can be converted later if necessary. The bypass is one and done, but what if it is more than I need? The sleeve has a pretty good weight loss to complication ratio, and I am willing to entertain the notion of a revision later. The RYN bypass is definitely "one and done". I wouldn't entertain a revision later from that. Good luck!

    Question for ladies

I recommend the IUD. It's the most effective, has a low rate of complication, and you can take it out any time with a simple office visit when you & your partner decide you're ready for another child (and no waiting period to let your hormones regulate like with BC). I have Mirena and between that and PCOS, I have not had a regular period in years. It's awesome lol. Mirena is known to lighten or stop periods. The medical literature included with the IUD said it's only about 20% of people but literally everyone I know who has Mirena has had lighter or no periods, so YMMV. I don't recommend the copper IUD if you already have a heavy flow b/c it's known to make periods and cramps worse.

    Question for the ladies:

If it's genetic, you should expect shrinking in both areas but not total loss lol! the women in my family have big boobs and no butts. At 6 months post op, my butt is almost nonexistent but I'm happy with my boobs. They're still big and round. I went from a 36 DD to a 32G, I sometimes wear a size 30 band depending on the bra. As for the butt? I'm confident that with some butt building exercise I can get some curves back in that area!

Well, it may not seem that big of a deal but yesterday was the last day that I had to take Ursodiol (used to prevent gall stones). I am so happy that there is now one less pill (tablet) that I have to take everyday.

    cannot stand food

Your hair loss can come from you being malnourished If you're not eating enough. I've heard the hair loss will happen with many bariatric patients anyway but making sure your getting adequate nutrition is key too. But congrats on your weightloss and I hope you get an appetite back soon! Hang in there! BTMOMOF3

I've never bought any bariatric foods from here or any other place. Doing just fine and my grocery bill is tiny even feeding two adults. I don't eat much any pre-packaged/prepared foods after I realized they were part of the problem (most are crammed with fat/carbs/sodium). I cook from scratch with whole food sources about 75% of the time. Things like marinara sauce or turkey pepperoni I do buy prepared, but I get the lowest carb/highest Fiber versions, and avoid high sodium, and other questionable things. I read nutrition labels of everything. It also works to help me put things back if I'm suddenly craving them and want to buy - one look at a package containing 50 grams of carbs per serving and I can't stick that sucker back on the shelf fast enough! I buy lots of chicken and fish. We eat on a chicken drumsticks or thighs at least once a week, and I usually do them in the slow cooker so I can create broth from the fat/bones and then make a lovely Soup with it later in the week. We eat lots of veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, turnip greens and spinach, okra, brussel sprouts, (not so much of the carby veggies like carrots, potatoes, peas). eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, Beans (kidney, black beans, pintos, great Northern), and brown rice. High fiber wheat bread on occasion. Pork rinds are a great snack substitute when I'm desperate for the crunch of chips (but eaten sparingly since they are so high in sodium). I have a very large variety of awesome recipes that are low carb, high Protein and moderate fat.
