    WHY??????????

I get that for sure. I'm always scared to not follow the doctor's advice too! I'm really happy that God gave me that trait though, because it's the best thing when it comes to these tough moments like the Pre-Op diet! It's all good though, because I know it's important, and I'm scared to mess it up! xP I do think that, whenever I reach that point of no drinking while eating, I'm going to have a bit of trouble. I have a hard time not washing down the food I eat. But I think I can get use to it.

    2 months already!

Thank you! I am glad you are reading them! I had my days where I worried about that too! Sometimes we let our fear of the what ifs take over. God is in control and all you need to do is focus on getting all healed up and progressing through your diet, oh and drinking! I'll pray for you too! I bet a month out you will be beaming with postives! So far this is the best decision I have ever made and I am loving life! Chin up and good luck to you!

    WHY??????????

thank you for that. I do get tired of hearing/reading about all the people that can't stick to a food plan for 2 weeks, a month or whatever the doctor tells them they need to do and then they wonder why they failed.

    Frustrated and a little embarrassed

Dont be embarrassed you are not alone. I am only a little over 3 weeks out and I have only lost 5 lbs (I lost 15 on the pre op diet) I am following all the rules to a T...today my scale went up! I dont know how or why (and my period was last week so its not water gain from that) To make matters worse I saw a friend today I haven't seen since July, so even before my pre op diet. She looked me up and down and said wow, you don't look any different at all. I got in the car and bawled. I guess what I keep seeing over and over is we are all different and our bodies will adjust and will lose.. we just have to be patient (not a virtue I was given:/)

    Wow, Stricture...

I had the same procedure done in April! I had my surgery done in Dec. I was told a lot of people go through this. My symptoms were nausea, throwing up , hard to shallow , felt like food was getting stuck. My side hurt. It didn't matter what I ate, I threw it up. Sometimes I didn't eat due to feeling so bad and was throwing up. That's the worst! After, he went in and strength my sleeve a little, all was well! Thank God!

Could you please elaborate when you have a second after your intervention I think everybody would be interested in what were the symptoms and all other details. I certainly do.

    still not telling people

recipe time for shakes. I love mine and have been having for 1 1/2 years now. I use Body Fortress chocolate (use what ever you like). I use 8 oz FF milk, 1 scoop protein powder, a little decaf instant coffee (kills the protein after taste) a little peppermint extract and tons of ice. Lately they have been extra thick. They are as good as McDonald's or Wendy's thick shakes. I have a small Hamilton Beach blender that is also the drinking cup. (I own 2 of them). They are under $20. at Walmart or Target. Enjoy. You'll make it.
