    Hi Terry, Just got off the phone with my hubby a little while ago, and you know he said the same thing to me. "I miss eating". I can understand that, but in the same breath we are both grateful for the band restriction.

    Congrats! I'm home now and do have a friend helping me - mainly the pain of using my stomach muscles for standing and/or sitting. Other than that, I feel pretty good too, which is awesome.

    I went shopping the other day on my day off at the store and I asked one of the ladies I work with in the deli for a lb of pasta we sell and she said you can't eat all that I said I know I just want to have a few bites as they see how much I eat and stay full and satisified on what I drink or eat , then I had to tell her it was for the family mostly so I got it home and I ate 3 bites and I was satisified on it but then y stomache started to bloat so no pasta for me but it was good and satisfied the craving I had , however I don't need my stomache to expand as this is why I got banded lol plus my over eating and not knowing when to stop so I am glad this tool helps me recognize now.

    There's always this option: http://www.lifespanf...0-dt3_model.jpg I think it would be less likely to become a clothes hanger than you might think. I currently use a tablet when I am on my elliptical cross trainer, and I love it. I also did something like this about 20 years ago with a computer monitor and keyboard mounted to my treadmill. This was before most people had internet access, but if I wanted to use my computer, I at least had to stand on the treadmill.

    Terry I tried the protein shake for breakfast for a few mornings when I was in a hurry, but found myself to be really hungry in a couple of hours.. I pretty much stick with eggbeaters, turkey sausage and wheat toast ..it keeps me happy for 4 hours or more.

    My Story & Pre-Op Diet so Far

    congrats! my surgeon & dietitian allowed me a couple times a day to use atkins meal replacement bar..i chose the chocolate peanut butter ones 250 calories, 17 gms of fat, but of what a difference they made! i lost 15 lb presurgery so they did not hurt me to take..i just had to take at least 2 of my shakes a day. deb

    Caught between stress and comfort

    To be honest I think the stress hormones are keeping the weight on. My body is in fight for it's life mode, so it's not letting go of even one ounce of fat for fear it might get eaten by the next Dinosaur!
