Quick FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

Don't be hating on all the post surgery horny women...that is in your favor I thought the whole thing was hilarious and have a couple more for you to add: 1. Can I eat _______ (fill in the blank) and oh yeah I am driving home from the hospital 2. I haven't lost a pound in two days and I am three weeks post surgery 3. My sister's cousins brother's wife had surgery and regained all their weight...I am unsure why this one bugs me so much.

    One Little Carrot

You will learn of your own "trigger foods" that may cause you to PB or vomit. For me it's chicken. I love it, but have to be careful with it. I'm also guilty of eating too fast or not chewing well enough, which causes me to run for the nearest restroom. I would say 99% of the time, it's my fault. You just have to learn what works for you and stick with it.

    Fear and friends...my lapband journey

I love your response. Although I have just begun my journey (waiting for insurance approval), I have also been reading the blogs and there is just as much negativity as there are positive responses. One of the things that people need to keep in mind is the implications of NOT having the surgery. Possible candidates need to weigh the pros and cons of any decision that affect his/her life. Once this is done, the decision should be easier to accept. For me, my final decision focuses on my trust in God. If it is meant to be and I have done everything that I can, I place my life in God's hands.

How My Feelings About Food Have Changed

This was a one of the greatest descriptions of what you can expect to feel about food after surgery that I have read so far! Thank you for sharing this. I pray that my recovery is the same and I feel the same way you do about food after I have my surgery. It really give me hope for a more "normal" life after vsg.

Quick FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

03/07/2013 Hi All, I am fairly new to the site. My profile says I have been around for awhile but I hadn't used the site. Unfortunately, It takes a long time to manuever around the site looking for answers even though this site is really appreciated. The insurance question is a hard one for many people. Like myself I am trying to learn not only which ones cover WLS but about insurances in general. When I started out I didn't realize such things like policies were differant state to state. The size of your group determined what was sold/given to you without your knowledge. There was all these games you had to play! So if there is people on the site who are experianced and can help I know that would be deeply appreciated by people like me who have had a insurance nightmare. Other questions are very much appreciated too as we are all in the same boat. We all have weight issues and have struggled with them. Thinking about a serious life change like WLS is very scarey. It is so niced to be able to talk with others about life changing events. I bet most of us "newbies",(people who are new to or have not gone through WLS), give those of you who help us a great big THANKYOU for your help! Most of us do realize it takes up your time to help us and most of us really do appreciate it. "A GREAT BIG THANKYOU TO THE HELPERS - YOU ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED" Sincerily, STILL Searching
