I am very proud of you for writing, "what not to do". I was told no driving for about 2-3 weeks after surgery and being a passenger for not more than 1-2 hours for 3-4 weeks. It is sad you learned the hard way. Just remember about not lifting anything either until the doctor gives the ok. Each doctor has their own views. Feel better and stay cool in this terrible weather.

Im Starving: Yea I can Eat...Oops I ate to Much

3 days after surgery?? I didn't eat anything solid for weeks.. you need to go back and re-read your post op instructions.. you are still healing and I think eating mac n cheese and cabbage will hinder that....don't hurt yourself...

Bit by bit... or is it Bite by bite?

Excellent post, my friend! Thank you for sharing and being candid about your journey. I do think many of us are waiting to "get there" (at goal) and not realizing that our journey doesn't end there. Our health and happiness is so well worth it though.

These are extremely wise, honest words. When I finally get to my goal weight I plan on giving myself the same 5 pound threshold. I think that's the mistake a lot of people make- they hit goal then get too relaxed. "oh it's only a 7 pound gain, no biggie" and "I'm still only 11 pounds from goal". Before they know it, they're now 40 pounds above goal and are going "I don't get it, I didn't change anything, how did I gain?!" I hope others read this blog post. It's excellent!

Yes - the saggy skin and boobs are not much fun. But it's one of those trade-offs I'm willing to make. I have told myself now for the past 7 years that when I get to goal and stay there for a year, I will have the surgery to remove the skin and give the girls a lift. I'm 45 and my boobs sag to my knees now. But they are still pretty big (which I like) and my husband has a sense of humor. And guess what - I have a husband, which I didn't have before I lost the weight :-) So I'll take the girls being saggy in exchange for what I've gotten in return. I'll admit that swimsuit shopping is brutal because of the saggy thighs. When you've lost more weight and if you can - I highly recommend you go to a specialty lingerie store if at all possible for a personal bra fitting. I wear a 36G now - I had no idea!! The bras I buy now cost a small fortune (to me, anyway - about $75-$90 each) but they are totally worth it! My husband and I may know that my boobs sag to my knees, but no one else does! They stand tall and proud in their expensive slings. And there are 2 now instead of a uni-boob! Keep your sense of humor! Hang in there! (The girls sure will - Bahahahahahah!!!) Shelly
