    Stubborn, stubborn brain!!!

I know what that's like! I did that all the time pre-band! I think Sharpie is right, it is part of the addiction but also part of the emotional eating. Sad- eat, Lonely - eat, Celebrate - eat, at least for me. The only emotion that didn't make me want to eat was anger.

I think it's part of the addiction... I also did that in prior attempts to lose.. If the scale didn't read the right # I would go on a binge.. If people said oh you're doing good with your weight loss, I somehow took that to mean go ahead and eat...I think it's a fear of failure or success not sure which... maybe a psychologists can figure it out.. however, since being banded I am in more control than ever before.. You can do it.. just concentrate on your victories and imagine yourself in a new smaller outfit... work food is the worse.. I am lucky I don't have to face that anymore.. I work at home but I have managed to keep the bad stuff to a minimum...

Well it depends on the restaurant. I don't go anywhere without looking at nutritional information online first. At Texas Roadhouse they have an oven roasted chicken and I get a side of unsweetened applesauce. I really can only eat the leg and a few bites of apple sauce so I bring it home. I also had their portabello mushroom chicken (very tender) but it comes in 8 oz so the calories/fat went down greatly with the portion you can actually eat. At Red Lobster I had the stuffed flounder with green beans but only ate about 1/2 of the fish it was so filling. So that's all I've had going out. I have done zero fast food aside from 1/2 of a small chili from Wendy's. Not sure it's very helpful, sorry.
