You are SO funny!

I definitely have those moments. I see my family going to town a big, fatty bowl of pasta or mowing a giant cheeseburger and I have these moments of "ugh I wish I could just have an hour to eat normal". ...but then I remember that's how I got to over 400 pounds... and suddenly that dripping burger doesn't look so appetizing anymore. You're doing so great!

I now shop in the regular womens dept. I never realized all the choices you have when you are XL and smaller. Been in the plus size dept for 44 years. So this is so new and fun.

Good job, planning ahead will help you through the social situations.

Enjoy the new shoes and have fun using them to stay fit. When ever I go out, I take a cooler and have my iced teas and protein bars with me because I never know when I will get hungry and what foods will be available. Today I went outlet shopping with my husband and had a bar on the way home and it was great. Enjoy all the parties and talk with everyone and don't look at the food. I have done that. Thank your BFF for serving and keeping us safe.

I used to get I wasn't that big. I wear my weight well. Let me tell you, I have lost over 55 lbs and have 25 to go... It is a whole new me. No more sleep apnea, incontinence, hurting knees and ankles, migraines are minimized, mood swings are down... best decision I ever made!!! There was a discussion on this board about telling others. Some keep it very private and some don't. I am pretty much an open book - besides, people are going to know you did something when you start looking awesome. Plus, if I can help anyone else who has struggled with weight the way we have, it is worth it. To me, I would rather spent $350 on something else than labs! My boss was awesome bout the appointments before and after. He really wanted me to be healthy. I was so lucky in that respect. He checks on me all the time to see how i am doing. He even commented in our last meeting about how high energy I am (I was before but now it is ridiculous). I just prioritized my appointments and got as many of them as early in the day or late in the day. My therapist really worked with me as well. Tell you stomach to be quiet and let the brain work. You got this!

I'm so excited for you!!! I'm still in the waiting to be approved stage...submitted 11 days ago and the wait is killer! Knowing that you're in the liquid pre-op stage - - as hard as I'm sure it is - - must be so exciting since it's making it seem REAL! Best of luck to you with everything - Pre-op, surgery, post-op, etc. I hope it all goes nice and smooth and really quick! By the way, your pic is beautiful!

I too have started the liquid diet and must say, I look forward to the one meal we get to have for the day. And, I too am scheduled for the procedure on June 4. I haven't read any blogs (figured it's better not to know), so it's just you and me for now. Good luck...keep me posted! By the by, your picture is lovely!

That must be so very frustrating.... I think I would sit down and scream and cry awhile, then, as you seem to have done already, reassure myself that it's still going to happen. You can do this! I pray you'll have peace and a double measure of grace as you wait.
