i have to get this off my chest - part 6

Blogs are here for that reason - we don't have to make a blog entry specifically about weight loss or anything else. A blog is where you post your personal thoughts, experiences, or anything else you want to post. Sometimes sharing your feelings is the only way you can free yourself from the "drama". That saying about how the truth will set you free - well it's true. I'm following this blog because I'm interested. Not everyone will be interested. The solution is to just not read it if the "drama" bothers you or doesn't fit your ideas regarding relevant posts.

i have to get this off my chest - part 6

Reenalee, I am so sorry you have been through all of this. I support you speaking your mind here on any topic you need. And I think this does have to do with weight loss... the emotional weight off your shoulders as you escaped this horrible abuse! Not all weight is physical...

    4 Days Post-Op

Oh Healthiernewme, you are the first person I've found who had surgery the same day as me - May 9th, right? So far my experience has been just like yours, really quite easy. The difference is that I've only lost 1 lb. post-op, but I'm hoping that will change very soon! Best of luck on your journey to a healthier new you!

    solids in 2 days...help

Bread becomes sticky and grows in the stomach. Toast however can sometimes be better. so I have heard. White bread, pasta, rice, can expand making it uncomfortable. What I have heard is to try one new food at a time. Then you will know what you can and can't eat.

    Stressed Out and Overwhelmed

My BMI was just over 40 when I was approved for the surgery. The only ones to question my sanity over the surgery were my sister and a co worker.. Dont listen to that little voice of doubt. You have worked hard to get to this point and deep down you know why you are doing this. I am one month out and do not regret my decision to be sleeved.

    Carb Sensitive?

What makes you think she's "on the couch"? Even at 360 pounds for ME exercise was NOT the problem.. the problem was in the kitchen! When someone would give me advice like "oh just walk around the neighborhood for half an hour" or my personal favorite "park in the furthest parking spot" I'd just look at them with a really confused look.... and say...."so you mean if I just park in the furthest parking spot, that will help me more than my 15 mile weekly hiking/walking schedule?"

    Carb Sensitive?

No one told me but after a 4wk long stall, I KNOW I am!!! I cut my carbs in half, from 100 to under 50 and threw out the protein bars that a friend online called "glorified candy bars" and after making those changes on Monday, I have lost 4lbs!!! I am thrilled!!! Just goes to show we are all different and what works for one may not work for another. I had tried exercising more, upping my calories, counting points (WW), and the scales did not move one pound during April!! Hang in there, u will find what works for you...keep your chin up and keep the faith that this will work!!

    Carb Sensitive?

I haven't been told I was carb sensitive but I know I am. I have committed to doing a very low carb, high protein, high fat diet for the entire month of May after losing only 3 pounds in april. I'm doing 20 net carbs (carbs minus fiber) 70-90 grams of protein and the remainder of my calories from fat. There are a lot of folks who say "a calorie is a calorie is a calorie" but I don't feel like it is the case in my body. Give it a try, see how you lose, see how you feel.
