    I went into remission fro type 2 diabeties in March 2012. never doubt your choice for the surgery!

    That took courage and I respect your decision to let your circle know what you did and they way you wrote the letter was very detailed. If anyone is negative after that....well that tells you alot about them! Good luck on your journey!

    6 weeks out for me, almost 7 and I feel the same way most of the time, sometimes after eating I feel like I have swallowed a giant stone, other times I feel like it's all going to come back up again, I dont throw up but I feel like I'm going to. Everything repeats on me. I chew everything to total much and it feels like it's stuck. eating is a pain. I'm almost never hungry, but I cant tell when I'm full cos I almost always feel full. scrambled egg and grilled chicken are getting very old. I suspect I may be eating a little to fast, but who wants to eat cold or re heated scrambled egg ew.. le sigh.

    I had spinach and salmon for luch yestreday also lol. You are on the right track keep doing what you are doing!

    Everytime I eat my tummy goes crazy. I don't feel bad luckily, just not great.. It sounds off for a while after.

    Awesome message Joe! I would not have had the patience to write everything you covered. My husband and sister are the only ones who know so far that I am getting sleeved and it's killing my sister who thinks I owe it to the rest of the family to tell them (I have grown kids and our parents are still around). So I promised her I would send out an email as soon after the surgery as I could. I also hope you don't mind if I steal some of your words to express why we choose to keep this private..... Best of luck on your journey, I've enjoyed reading about it!

    OMG, I am feeling the same way. I am 5 weeks out and feeling miserable today. I want to be able to enjoy food. I also made a scrambled egg. Ate 2 bits and then stomach upset. I am hoping it passes.

    Sorry you're having frustration with your co-worker, that sucks. I can tell you are trying so hard, and you don't need his temptations! But....I just wanted to throw this out there, from a third person perspective: I could be way off base but it sounds to me like this person just plain likes you. Could be romantic, but maybe not, maybe even just as a friend. Either way, the way he always was able to connect with you was through food. And now that's gone and he misses you..... but that's the only way he knows. Like I said, I could be totally wrong, or I just always want to see the good in people. But perhaps his motives aren't to try to sabotage you (although it seems that way). And just remember, it's challenges like these that make us stronger!
