    My Personal Experiment

I am so glad to see someone else had the blurry vision. I have never experienced that before. I googled and found it was a side effect. I too am a low BMI and was worried about insurance approval but I had two other issues - Pre-diabetes and sleep apena.

I spoke with the DR about that yesterday. She said that we hit platues after fast weightloss to allow our body shape to catch up with the loss. Measure your body weekly and see where the inches are coming off. 219 was mine for 3 weeks but I lost so many inches it was crazy. Also muscle wieghs more so as you tone your weight might become stagnant. Oh and he said that our goals and our bodies goals are different! No that made me plum mad. He told me that as I may want to be 120 my body may say no.. 140 is where we are staying!! But I do say that 140 is sooo much better then 259!!! Amen....

    ups and downs

It will be an up and down. I ALWAYS bounce in a 5 lbs range. Don't fret. So many things effect your weight. Do your measurements to, those change pretty fast to start with. Then sometimes those will change when the scale seems stuck. Don't get discouraged, as long as you are following the directive the doctor and nutritionist gave you then you will be fine! Like so many people say this is not a fast journey. Some lose faster than others, but what matters is losing.

    My Personal Experiment

Really enjoyed reading your post. Especially about writing sleeve on your stomach! I wish I had thought to do something along those lines. At the hospital, every time a nurse would come in to give me meds, take blood pressure or anything, they'd ask me my name and birthdate - to verify that they had the right patient. Finally, I started saying my name and birthdate to anyone that walked in the room, just to be funny. Now I wish I had taken a sharpie and written my name and birthdate on my gut as well. :-P

    Oh, the irony...

My doc told me the same thing last time I went. I was like seriously someone is telling me I need to eat more - WTH? My NUT said apple slices with PB is great. I buy the low sodium PB to help with salt intake. In the summer I like cantalope with laughing cow cream cheese wedge. I love applesauce and make my own so I can control what is in there. Something the hubs and I love is zucchini chips. I slice the zucchini is thin slices (with my mandalin), toss in a little olive oil, and parm cheese - place on a cookie sheet and back till golden. These are addictive. The hubs who is anti veggie loves these. This also works to coat asparagas and string beans as a different way to fix them.

    Back to Work

Wow I was off a week and I thought I came back to work too fast! Good for you! I'm glad you are feeling great. Just be careful no to over do it. I felt ok the first few days after I got back but then about 10 days post op I felt like I had run out of energy. Make sure to keep hydrated. Good luck on your journey! Congrats!

    He does not understand.....

I never buy sugar and when my skinny boyfriend asks for sugar, I just hand him the Splenda and he can't even tell the difference. If he thinks it would be good with sugar, just hand him the Splenda.

I am having the same problem. I have increased my exercise but it hasn't helped. I have steroid injections in my lower back every three months. Are steroid injections part of the problem? With out them i can't exercise at all. I had my surgery in September 2012. I still need to lose at least 30 pounds. HELP!!
