Mine was Fuzzy's fish tacos. I would eat 4 before surgery so I thought that 2 would be safe now, minus the lettuce and cheese, and salsa. Boy was I wrong! I got half of one down and then pushed it.....and I drank some water too. Oh no, they tasted much better the first time, and I almost did not make it out of the place before I started barfing. Live and learn. I think that when I have had enough protein I do better at resisting temptations, but when I am running low my resolve melts away.

So how did I fair a stomach virus

Sorry that you had to go through this but glad you shared it with us. When I remet with my surgeon last week, the question of what to do when one has food poisoning or stomach flu was first on my list. He pretty much said to do what you did (if the vomiting goes past 24 hours).

Starchy carbs and why we don't need them

Seriously, carbs are evil for me. I don't care how small of a portion of them I eat...they leave me starving and I end up gaining weight. Even fruit has this effect on me...it totally makes me hungry. So I hit the meat, eggs, and veggies (when I have room). I think that's a good part of the reason I don't get hungry between meals even though I don't have a fill.

I think that we have all been there, I found myself doing the same on sunday ... I love middle eastern food , Kababs , hummus , rice , bread , my husband took me out for dinner , I orderd my food , knowing of course that I could only take a few bites and I was gonna take the left overs home ( which would be the entire plate ) . I took a few bites at the restaurant , I was full after like 4-5 .... took the rest to go , later that evening I opend the cooler and took the food out again , and took a few more bites , did it twice . I have done pretty good since I was sleeved Nov 13 , 2012 .... lost 47 lbs , but in the past 2 weeks or so , I been feeling hungry more frequently , I am trying to have self control by carrying with me some sugar free peach cups 60 cal , but I wonder if its actual cravings or all in the mind.

    My Favorite Mexican Food

Wow awesome recipe! I will certainly try this once I can incorporate meat. I'm still on mushy food for another couple weeks.

So how did I fair a stomach virus

Thanks for sharing- I had wondered what to do in this case. Thankfully I have had it happen and don't want it to, but figure it will happen at some point.

Why don't I feel my band anymore?

Do you see a nutritionist? If not I would recommend seeing one. They can help you plan out health meals. I agree with what CG said, she gave some good advise. Going back to liquids is not going to help, you will still feel hungry and you won't be learning how to eat healthy. Focus on taking small bits, chewing till mush and waiting 1 minute between bits. This will make a big difference in the volume of food you eat, I can always eat more food if I eat fast. Setting a goal of 60 pounds in 4 months is setting yourself up for failure. You don't want to fail, so regroup talk to a nutritionist, read some of the posts in the nutrition & food forum (a lot of good ideas for healthy foods) and talk with your doctor about your frustrations. You can do this. Good luck to you.
