Dont be scared everyone is different. I myself had no complications after surgery. No pain , just a few days of feeling nauseous..but htats about it. I didnt even need any of the pain meds I was given. You will be fine and the things you go through or what i have encountered were small things and not horrible. But i am finding out 6 weekds post op that your mind and body have got to be on the same page. this is a big adjustment from your past eating habits etc. but at the end of the day i know it will be worth the ride. I pray you do okay and its a new beginning for you as for all of us that need this tool to be healthy.

The Start Of A New Journey

Ms. Goldy-- you are not a failure, only have not had the right tools to help you be healthy! "Diets" do not work because they are not a permanent thing. The surgery is permanent. You CAN blow it, but you can not go back to the place you were without hurting yourself. You should have the help of a crack nutritionist to guide you along the way and if you stay active on the boards, you have support. In your local area there should be support groups too. And we all LEARN to find our own health. You are not a failure, dear. Just have not found the right tools for you yet. See the positive.

From all the post that I have read, it sound like your doing good. I hope I do as well as you have. How was the first few weeks after surgery. I don't have Celiac disease but I have a gluten intolerance. I have to be very careful so not to get in that way to just like you. My surgery is Dec 5 and I am very nervous. Some of the stories are scarey. I don't like to be nauseous or throw up.So I will try very hard to only drink what and as much as I should. If you have any tips, they would be greatly appreciated.

    My Story So Far...

You can do this! You've already been through the worst. You're obviously very strong, so remember this as you take one day at a time to get yourself back into healthier eating. Let your dad and grandma help keep you motivated --you have some help from the other side now! I wish you all the best and I'm also very sorry for your losses... the death of loved ones can be so painful. Again, I'm truly sorry you're having to deal with this at such a young age. Bes wishes!
