    Is It Worth It?

YES!!!!!!!!!! it is worth it. I am very proud of you. At least the daughter is honest that having surgery is not for her.

    Having A Difficult Time

It might just be that you need a slight unfill. There is no need to assume worse case just yet. You need to speak to your physician and just discuss what's going on. If it is worst case... it could save your life.

    The Doctor

Of course you have every right to know how much is in your band. You should always know that number. What if something happens and they need to take it out? You won't even know if they have taken out the proper amount. What if you decide to change doctors and you won't even be able to tell the other one how much is in your band. I would tell him I want to know how much is in there and how much you are putting in there. You have every right to know how much fluid is in your band.

    The Doctor

My doctor is kind of the same way. He will tell me if I ask but he doesn't advertise as he feels we are all different and cannot compare w/ one another. That being said, I ask the nurse after the doctor leaves. I know he won't care and I love my surgeon but she will tell me without hesitation. She also said, I SHOULD know in case I ever had to go to the ER or something I should know what is in there. If you call back to the office, the nurse should be able to look it up for you.

    Is It Worth It?

I was self-pay. I went for complete physical 1 month before my surgery with my family doctor and he said I was a "healthy fat person"... for now... it was just a matter of time. I was 39... I've suffered from acid reflux since I was 14. My acid reflux went away 3 days after my surgery... and I didn't have a hernia. My surgery was 1 month before my 40th birthday... it changed my life. If I didn't lose a pound having my acid reflux gone was worth the cost of the surgery. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 156 lbs tomander@bell.net

I know how easy it is to backslide but dont beat yourself up over it. It is time to get back to basics...you might check with your doctors office , mine offers a Back to Basics course for anyone that is slipping and needs that encouragement. Also, find those support groups, ours here is fantastic. It helps associating with others that understand what your going through. And *you go girl!* Crossfit? That is amazingly difficult I admire you...thats impressive...I plan on starting Krav Maga once I break 200...until then Zumba and walking:) I want to share a little action plan another lady on here posted to shoot for daily: 600-800 calories,64oz of fluid, (have you tried the MIO water enhancers? I love 'em, 40 carbs max (you need those carbs to excercise but try and get most your carbs from fruits and veggies) 60g minimum of protein. Thats a great outline and start keeping your journal/food journal:) I bet you'll be back on track in no time! And next time hubby makes French Dip Sandwiches, just leave off the bread and wrap that yummy roast beef up with chees in a lettuce wrap:) Good Luck my friend!
