It's Deja Vu All Over Again!

How long have you been banded? It sounds like you are too tight or you are having some major irritation around your band area in your stomach. Either way it does not sound good for you. It is not normal for you to be having those issues daily. If you keep on vomitting, you can and will cause your band to slip, and I really don't think you want that to happen. Go on a liquid diet for a couple of days to a week to see if swelling will go do and that should give you some relief, if not you may need to have some fluid removed from your band. I have had this band for over two years and that's not the way the band works. It's a tool to assist you in your weight lost process and not a device to make you suffer. Honey, that is not living as it relates to the band. Good luck!!!! From first hand experience- I've had fluid removed and added back, and I've had to place myself on a liquid diet until my system could readjust.

    Slow Weight Loss

We all lose at different rates, some do lose fast and some of us are lucky to lose a pound a week or less. The good news about losing slowly is that your skin has time to catch up to your weight loss. I figure as long as the weight is going down or even staying the same its all good because its better than having the weight go up!! My Dr says that "its a marathon and not a race".

    Chew, Chew, Chew

Hey there, just keep in mind we're all different, and hopefully you'll learn to eat sloooooowly & actually chew your food instead of inhale it :-) Every day is a new learning opportunity. Yea, let's call it that - "a learning opportunity!" HA!

Surgery In 3 And A Half Weeks , Scared To Death

How sad that he would scare you like that! Why is he "worried" about your veins? My IV was put in by an RN and then all the Anesthesiologist had to do is tell me, "I'm going to give you something to relax now", pushed a needle through my IV and I was out in seconds. Like others mentioned, you have waited a long time for this and you're so invested now! The positives far outweigh the negatives. The best thing you can do is to mentally prepare yourself 100% because your body will respond so much better -- less internal bleeding and better healing, etc., and walking is king for gas problems (according to some friends of mine on here). I did not experience gas problems at all, probably because I took 2 Gas-X pills the night before surgery. I also walked as soon as I could and as much as I could, even when I felt like someone needs to tape me to my IV pole so I don't collapse. I wish you peace with your decision and all the best with whatever you choose.

I'm A Member Of That Club...

You are very very lucky! Be proud. I wish I could see that number. Since I had a fill 3 weeks ago I have been stuck at the same number but clothes fit better. I don't get it.
