I was sleeved back in June of this year and I'm surprised now regarding how hungry I can feel and how much of some things I can eat. I have discovered if I eat foods that are not processed (ham, greens) I get full quick!........but girl, I can eat me some Cheeze ITs........those things just go right in and right down sooooo easy. I don't know how much weight I've lost - somewhere around 35-40 pounds. I don't really care and I don't weigh often at all. I think it was all that obsessing that got me in this shape (round, rotund, obese) in the first place...........but I do know that I now wear a size 16 jean and I haven't done that in more than 15 years! Hang in there........this sleeve thing is very interesting and seems to be unique to each individual.

Hungry. Hungry. All The Time Hungry.

Are you on a PPI?Acid is sometimes masked as hunger. And if you are still on liquids this is quite normal for some of us.Once you start eating you will feel satisfied as you WILL feel full. Hang in there. Not long now before you can eat.

You are too tight and that is definitely nothing to "grin and bare". You're putting yourself at real risk for a slip by being too tight. Call your surgeon for a slight unfill as soon as possible.

Oh My Stars, I Can't Eat Anything!!!

Your a little tight, I would suggest you tell your doctor if you are still unable to eat solids by Monday. If you can drink liquids please try some protein shakes even if you have to thin them out a little more so you get some nutrition. Do not grin and bare it! The purpose of the band is not to restrict you from eating, it is to help you learn portion control and curb the normal hunger feeling that goes along with cuting back you calorie intake. If you leave the band too tight and continue to PB and reflux you can damage your band and your health.

Careful ladies with the creams and lotions. I know during the HCG diets which is esentially a ketogenic diet that lotions and oils are forbidden as they are absorbed in the skin same as fat and your body must rid them the same. Meaning you are adding fat into you body and may cause a stall. Test to see if it has any effect on your weight loss. Brush skin to get the dead cells off.

I would like to suggest Cera Ve lotion for the skin. I started using it because I have eczema and it helps with the itching. It also acts to help minimize eczema. Anyway, my skin, which had been dry and flaky like yours is now soft and flakyless (I know that's not a word.). It doesn't leave an oily residue on the skin either. It has my highest recommendation.

Hi Tamara and Cindi, I'm between the two of you at 3 weeks out. Thanks for your posts. I am usually hungry during PMS also so now if hunger hits big time next week I won't freak out. Cindi, you mentioned your acid prevention tablet. I saw mention of that somewhere before. Does that affect your hunger? I ask because I've not been all that consistent in taking mine and have had some days I was clearly more hungry. Never correlated the two. Thanks, Sherri

I am a week out of surgery today and 3 days ago I got the worst hunger, I seriously wanted to eat EVERYTHING. I have been so upset thinking that this surgery might have been a mistake and totally beating myself up. While reading your post I had a breakthrough, I too am pms-ing. I felt like a ton of bricks were taken off my chest when you mentioned this in your post, I realized that IS whats wrong with me. I always get insanely hungry during this time. I was so worried I was always going to feel like this since my surgery is so new but now I know it will pass. You have no idea how much this post meant to me, Thanks for sharing your experience and making me realize what was going on with me !! Best of Luck to you!
