    3 Days Post Op

Thank you all for all the knowledge you are providing. I get stronger each post. I have contacted Drl Kelly based on your posts and have committed. However, I was wondering your thoughts on the deposit... Omar told me to western union 200 for the deposit to his name then the 5K a cashiers check to Dr. Kelly and scan it or something like that. The original email they sent me said cash, credit card, wire or cashiers. Does anyone know why wire to Omar then cashiers to dr?

    Evidenced Based Medicine?

3yrssleeve, Based on the info you provided in your profile, it looks like you lost 120 lbs at 18 months post-sleeve, then by 3 yrs out had gained back 100 lbs. Is that about right? If you don't mind sharing with us, what do you feel most contributed to the re-gain? How different do you things things would be now (weight and health-wise) if you had decided on a different procedure initially or no procedure at all? I ask with great personal interest since my sleeve is scheduled for Oct 25th. And yes, I am aware of the lack of quality, peer-reviewed published long-term outcomes data with the sleeve relative to band or bypass. Your comments and story would be most helpful. Thanks.

I can sooo relate to eveything you wrote. I have never had any type of surgery, never had an IV until I went for an endoscopy for this surgery. I hate the unknown and have tried to read everything, and watch every video I can find. Even a full lenght surgery just so I could have an idea of what was going to happen. My surgeon eased my mind a great deal when she told me that because of the surgery, when we eat we wiill feel full and satisfied. Because the hormone that makes us feel hunger will be drastically cut down we shouldnt' have the same physical feelings to eat. The emotional is a little trickier, head hunger is powerful, but with this uncompromising tool I think we are all off to a much better start than with a diet. I am determined not to compare my losses to anyone elses and come back to this forum for answers, support and encouragment as much as I need. Good luck!!!

Good evening, I would call the doctor as soon as you can. I don't think that sounds normal. Good luck.

    Evidenced Based Medicine?

I've studied this for so long, I feel like an expert. There are a lot of people several years out who have not regained their weight. You stated the risks correctly, but I believe that weight regain is fairly uncommon with a sleeve. I sure hope I am right. Good Luck with your next procedure.
