    Banded Yesterday & Miserable, 5/21/12

I think the gas depends on how much they put in you and how much walking you do... I didn't have much at first now I am blowing a@@ like crazy! LOL but it feels really good!

    Banded Yesterday & Miserable, 5/21/12

blessed I was banded on Friday 5/18 I really was miserable until today. Day one was a blur, day two I was in pain and started to think what did I do. I got dehydrated and had to go to the er. After some fluid via IV I felt a zillion times better. Day 3 I just hurt and I knew I need to try to get off the lortab (liquid pain meds) as those always mess me up. Last night I was able to remove the bandages and take a shower for the first time in days. I also decided to sleep in my bed instead of the recliner that I had been in since Friday. Today I got up showered and acted as normal as possible when your left side hurts every time you move! Hang in there it gets better... I really did take the first 3 days easy. However every hour I got up and walked about 5 minutes. If you got a speedomoter (breathing thingy) I blowed in that and just tried to get the water down. I am only doing childrens tylenol as needed but its mostly just before bed. Please believe me you are on the right road you will get there just be good to you and think of the health and excitement that lies ahead of you!

    Banded Yesterday & Miserable, 5/21/12

Good Luck to all of you. I was approved for the surgery and had done my 6 month DR. supervised program for cigna and got scared , When I did finally decide to do it My husband was diagnosed with Cancer and I backed out again because I had to be able to do for him, well he is better and I am seriously thinking about calling my surgeon's office and getting it all lined up again and getting the ball rolling. My 6 month program was good for 2 years and that is up in Jan 2013 so I really need to decide. I am so scared but I know it is what I need. I wish all of you the best of luck and sure hope things go well. Peggy

The gas pain is bad but it goes away hold your nose and take the pain meds. This is no piece of cake and anyone who led you to believe otherwise is wrong.BUT........ everything is worth it and you will see that as clothes fit and meds go away......,
