    Just Dont Get It

Do what works for your body. I've read that taking in too little calories causes the body to go into starvation mode and your body refuses to let go of weight, but when you fuel yourself up to a minimum of 1200 calories with high protein, veggies and healthy whole grain carbs that is your balanced diet approach which is the healthiest way to go. Primary is protein which is generally around 70-90 grams per day. Good Luck!

    The Green Eyed Monster.

Call the insurance company. I did, three times. First time they said it wasn't in their system yet. I called two days later, they just received it, I waited two more days and called back and it was approved. Why wait for the mail, call them, the number should be on the back of your card.

Breaking Down Day 10 Pre Op

You are so funny about those pickles!! I think about having to be on two more weeks of liquid too after doing two weeks now for the preop. I'm not looking forward to it. I feel like I'm starving. I haven't been asked to do a preop thing yet. The hospital should be calling me tomorrow. So, I guess they will let me know. I don't know why they would because I don't have anything in me anyway but liquids... YUCK!

Breaking Down Day 10 Pre Op

You should cry all you want to, and then wipe the snot off your nose and tell yourself you are doing well, and take it day by day. Surgery for me is a really traumatic thing (long stories based mostly on me never reacting to meds they way they anticipate) - so I was really scared of not waking up, and waking up the wrong way (i woke up in the middle of a knee surgery once). Your fears are justified, just be sure the way you react to them is reasonable to your emotions, but aimed at your goal. So much good luck to you! God bless.

    Week 22

Great plan in place. The only think I would add is to make sure you get 7-8 hrs of sleep per night. Lack of sleep messes with your hunger hormones, plus is a deterent to lossing weight.
