Week 7 Postop - Weigh In

Good job! I'm still losing slow as well. Down 2.8 lbs this week and that was with 2 workouts. I'm really trying to bump it up. Keep up the good work!

Pre Op Diet Not Going Well

I opted for calorie counting on my 2 week pre op diet. I did 1,000-1,200cals per day. On my final day my calories were spent on lovely food including chocolate. My final meal was a small macDonalds cheeseburger ( which took me over my cal limit a little bit). I lost 9lb in total but I did a huge amount of cleaning/exercising to help get me there

    A Coke And A Smile

I live on tea now, that is about all I drink. For the past 3 months, all I have had is about 4 glasses of water, and the rest is either tea, cold or hot, and SOBE water. I was a two liter a day diet coke. I thought, I would never make it with out my diet and cigs, but 5 months out and I'm still alive, and so happy. A Coke And A Smile

I'm with you there. I have been a coke addict forever! Several years ago switched from Coke to Coke Zero to lose weight (didn't work). Went cold turkey 11 days ago. Hope to have the surgery soon, so I can smile about the pounds, and maybe forget the longing for the fizzy little bubbles.

    A Coke And A Smile

Awesome!!! Congratulations!!! I made the VERY same decison a week ago Satururday and I'm a long time Coke addict. Coke has made me smile so many times, but dropping those pounds is going to make me smile even more.

Pre Op Diet Not Going Well

I agree...I wasn't perfect, and I only dropped 5 pounds pre-op...and the surgery went just fine. Do your best and don't beat yourself up. If we were able to be perfect, we wouldn't need the band to help us!

Pre Op Diet Not Going Well

As long as you have truly cut back on your carbs you should be fine. We all know this is hard but it is an important part of the journey, it decreases your complications during surgery.

Pre Op Diet Not Going Well

I forget what I ate, but I cheated two days before my surgery and was fine. You'll be fine, just try to control the food intake for a while. Soon enough you'll be eating it again, in smaller portions of course. Good Luck!

Pre Op Diet Not Going Well

The pre-op diet is to shrink your liver to make surgery easier. If you have cheated too badly and not shrunk your liver then the surgeon may cancel the surgery or even get started but not be able to fit your band. If you have lost some weight you may be ok.
