Freddie is my favorite!!! I've always loved that song and I doubt I'll ever NOT be a fat-bottomed girl, but I'll take a booty curve instead of a Ghetto Onion, as one of the inmates at my former job called my posterior!!!

    A Coke And A Smile

I'm with you there. I have been a coke addict forever! Several years ago switched from Coke to Coke Zero to lose weight (didn't work). Went cold turkey 11 days ago. Hope to have the surgery soon, so I can smile about the pounds, and maybe forget the longing for the fizzy little bubbles.

    A Coke And A Smile

Awesome!!! Congratulations!!! I made the VERY same decison a week ago Satururday and I'm a long time Coke addict. Coke has made me smile so many times, but dropping those pounds is going to make me smile even more.

GNC sells Lean Shake. It's 14oz and has 25 grams of protein. I really like it as it doesn't taste like protein. The only issue, is it can be expensive. But for me, who hates Whey, it's so worth it. Best of luck. Also I have a smoothy that I love with 25g of protein. 1 cup greek yogurt 1/2 cup soy milk (vanilla) 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 4-7 ice cubes. Splenda or sugar substitute to taste. I do 2-3.

    Experimenting...at A Month Out.

I've come to a similar conclusion...time to start figuring out the "rest of my life" when it comes to eating, and the follow-up appointments with the bariatric department will be a formality only. We've done it, made the decision to move forward with WLS and going through these tough weeks of drinking shakes and having pureed foods, tiring of mashed potatoes and refried beans with a dollop of sour cream. I got into a bit of a stall at 5 weeks, and I'm just about to be released into the world of being able to tolerate most foods, and so I'm planning for next week to lower the carbs and get moving on salads. I'm so tired of soup and oatmeal...as soon as I can get to not needing the protein shakes, the better, but I've done a few days of menu planning using this website, and I can come up with some pretty easy routines, having an omelette for breakfast, a salad with a protein at lunch, snacks of turkey slices/cheese or nuts, and fish or chicken and a steamed veggie for dinner....looking forward, not dreading the future!!

    Un-break my heart

One day at a time... that's all I can do. And when he starts his fussing, I just kill him with kindness. Dr Phil said, one person has to stand up and say I will make enough changes for the both of us. When the changes no longer help then.. well then it is time to rethink the relationship. So my change, not fussing back at him. I will just be me...
