WOW! We are in exactly the same situation. I, too, had my surgery on December 19th, and I am also at about 65 lbs. down. I feel the same way you do: I have stretched my stomach out. I still can eat only small portions, but I find myself hungry and wanting to snack between meals. In the past month, I have been stuck at the same weight. I really need to join the healthclub, but it is so expensive where I live. When school is out, I think I will have more time to exercise and maybe I will be so busy doing what I like to do that I won't want snacks. I hate that I can't reassure you because I feel just like you. My daughter had the surgery 10 days after I did, and she is losing much faster or more steadily, but she is also only 27 years. old. We need to help each other!

    Expectations....

U know that untill u start getting fills its unlikely that u will start to lose weight quickly and to be honest this is why this period is called bandster hell, i was told a lot of people even can put on a small amount of weight during this time so u are doing great.. initially we heavier ones tend to lose a lot of weight then even tho we are eating much less we sort of stabalise for a while but it will start shifting again once u start getting the fills u need and just keep burning more calories than u are eating ... we are here for support if u need us Jim

Not Yet Superlyra, But One Step Closer...

Sorry you had so much pain and awfulness :-( I too threw up the 1st 2 days, couldn't even keep water down, but I didn't tear anything. I was very fortunate. I'm glad you were smart enough to go back to the hospital too. Sometimes us strong & self reliant women know too much for our own good

Arnetta, so glad to see you back with the living. I was not about to give up on you, you are so worth all the effort. Now that you have had a good cry, dust yourself off, and start living, Each day gets easier and harder at the same time. Every food you eat is an adventure and what goes well today may not go well tomorrow. Take each day as an adventure and blog what your feeling. When the days go great, that is when you tend to stay away from the web site, but remember as I have learned there are others out here struggling and they need to hear when others are doing well as well as bad. It gives us all hope to learn that one us is making it! Maybe we will be next... Be honest with your husband, God knows I was with mine. I even told him once, "If you are going to continue to snack all the time, I can not be in the room with you!" How could he possibly be hungey we just ate dinner and he ate 10 times more than me. I refused to buy certain foods in the beginning because I did not eat them, starches mainly. Kinda funny now when I think back. But honestly I have to remind myself when fixing dinner, that other people eat more than protein and vegtables. I have a new best friend now, ME and guess what I Love the New Me I am becoming and so will you. Cyber hugs, so glad your feeling better.
