    Just My Luck

I know it may be difficult for you to see now, but everything in life happens for a reason. Don't question the delay, just continue to prepare yourself physically and mentally. Just think it could have been your actual surgery date that you had to cancel and not your doctors appt. I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better now and those eight days will be here before you know it.

    Asking For Help

My sister told me this - if you don't let others do favors for you or ask others for help, it really is wrong. When we allow others to help, we are helping them. They are then able to give freely, making themselves better individuals. We are all here to do for others, love each other, care for each other. Why should you not allow those in your life who care about you to show it? Maybe you don't feel you truly deserve it? Well, YOU do, as we all do. I think once you allow others to help, it might get easier. You will feel better, and those that are helping you will feel great for having done so. Bite the bullet, and let others do for you. Good Luck. Hugs to you.

    Post Surgery Gas

Hi sugarbear. I had my surgery April 24,2012. I woke up with the worst gas pains ever. I came home the 25th and as i moved the gas passed. I have come to realize on the 26th that the gas pains included hunger pains. By the 26th the gas only came when i was hungry. Friday the 27th it got way better. I still belch but not as much. The hunger pains are the killers. But the bloating gass will go away maybe the 2nd or 3rd after surgery. I was making music when i swallowed liquids it was so loud.

    I Was Banded 3-22-12

Congratulations on your surgery. I had mine on 3/15/12. I recovered pretty well. Was so sleepy for the first 3 days from the anesthesia. Needed no pain meds after days 2. I had that horrible gas pain in my left shoulder and that went away by the time I went back to work on the 3/22. I go for my follow up appointment on tomorrow. I am so sick of shakes! I want something with substance. I want to chew something. So far I'm down 11.5 lbs. I want to loose another 15lbs before my 1 month anniversary. I haven't started exercising yet. I wanted the doctors approval before I started.
