    Diet

    My doctor requires liquids two weeks prior and 4wks after surgery. I'm on day three of pre-op, doing ok so far. It was a little tough last night, I bowl and my team ordered a large pizza that I had to sit there and smell. But I had a protein drink and just kept telling myself I can do this!! lol

    My doc has his nurses on-call 24/7, I'd call and check in. At my pre- op the nurse used fever as an example of when someone should call in.

    That is a huge amount of "food". That is if you can call it food - it all looks like greasy, fatty, overprocessed muck!

    I will also be flying the week after banding, so this is a good topic. The NP assured me that I wouldn't be beeping through TSA security, so that's good. Can I carry protein shakes in a carry on?

    Wow! if you do this to please others I think you are guaranteed to fail. If you dont do it because others prefer you to stay fat or think you will be seen as having cheated by having weight loss surgery I think you are guaranteed to fail! This is something you do for you, your family, your children...get your head in the game!

    i am 30-35 from goal too (haven't decided goal for sure). Isn't it great to get near the finish line????

    I am 31 lbs from goal. I exercise 5 times a week with an your of cardio and usually 40 minutes of streght training 3x a week. I walk about 3 x a week. As far as food only an average day. Breakfast: protein shake and sometimes cereal. Lunch: a lean cusine. Dinner 3oz of protein and if I am sill hungery some carbs or veggies. I snack 3x a day which are: skinny cow ice cream, almonds or wheat thins with a cheese wedge. I got my last fill about a month ago and have really hit my stride losing 12lbs since then. Goodluck!
