I Just Really Love My Sleeve

There hasn't been anything I've put in it that it doesn't like (that's a plus) I get a definite signal when I'm full (RARELY physically felt full before surgery) so no overeating Haven't had any issues with acid Haven't had any issue with pain. I feel satisfied at every meal. Its just a huge change. The steroid issues I had are getting so much better I have lots of energy. I am just finally on my way back to health. I almost feel like i'm turning back time.

    I Can See My Toes!

I Can see my toes and actually the whole top of my foot! So exciting. I have also discovered that I have a collar bone! I can wrap my fingers around my wrist and touch the floor! My joints still hurt and I am hoping it gets better with losing more. I am so happy!

Hi everyone 8 months for me and I love BBQ'd chicken(boneless skinless) , no more steaks for me to much chewing it gets kinda flavorless, chili, lots of hearty vegi soups, whole wheat bread & pastas, if your going Mexican food anything crunchy no flour tortillas just eat it with tortilla chips , ISO-pure protein powder 40 grams per scoop hope its helpful

    Stepford Husbands

My hubby's idea of cooking dinner is getting fried chicken take out, which I won't even brave now that I have good restriction. Seriously?!?!? He at least asked me if I wanted a side of red beans and rice or mashed potatoes, both of which I turned down. I ended up eating one of my frozen high protein soups instead. But the smell of the fried chicken drove me crazy!!! Sometimes they need a smack on the head with the frying pan!!!

    The Infamous Pre-Op Diet..

hello! i was just banded on the 15th so this is very recent to me..what kind of pre-op diet did your doc recommend? i also thought i would starve on this diet, but i didn't starve and i lost 10 lbs:) the first two days were the most challenging, but i began to realize that times when i thought i was hungry, i really wasn't. i started to pay attention to my physical hunger and found that most times it was psychological..old habits...drinking lots of water and keeping busy also helped. know your triggers...the weekends were really hard and being at home was more difficult than being at work. good luck. you will do great and congrats on your journey:)

Can You Tell Me Your Favorite Meals!!!

Well I posted that info., and I believe your not quite rite ! Corned Beef is a excellent Protein dish. Served with Cabbage ,Potato, onion is a good dish. My Surgeon told me to eat the dark meat from chicken, the white meat is to dry for me to swallow, and the calorie difference is not significant. Pork is high in Protein, and baking it locks the juiciness in. Seafood or Fish is always a good choice. Steak I like mine wrapped in Foil 2 x, and smothered with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. sprinkled with oregano, then baked in a 500 degree oven for 1 hour. You never had a more TENDER Steak. Mushrooms can be oven baked or deep fried ? Other vegetables,,, You can have what you can tolerate. Everyday is a different day with the band, so I take it one day at a time. If you see this as wrong, then that's up to you. But the Question was Can you tell me your favorite meals ? These are all possibles. Including Lamb when I can get it, BBQ on a Grill is also great. Look these foods up on calorie king and you will see they are high protein foods. Remember: I'm talking about quality,"THE BEST YOU CAN GET" and quantity " LESS IS MORE !" So I agree with elcee. Except for a hiccup or 2 This is all SPOT ON ! Thanks elcee. Shirley.

I hadn't had a fill since the end of November. I had no issues at all over the holidays and then last week made some curry chicken soup with chicken thighs and ate way too fast and boom! stuck. It wouldn't pass. I went into my dr. the next day and she had to take out .75. So much better! That was last Thursday. Yesterday I got a .5 fill back in. On soft foods today and tomorrow. I definitely learned my lesson to slow down and pay attention. I have been kind of slacking lately so maybe that is what I needed, a painful reminder to make good choices and eat slowly!
