What The Heck Happened To Me?

Well no one seems to have a ticker any more so its hard to tell where people are in this process. I dont want to sound mean but it just looks like you are on a diet and I just no longer believe in that! I didnt get the band to eat like that...I have pretty tight restriction and eat very small quantities of any and every food...I dont log anything or look at calories and I dont really exercise...your plan sounds like torture I could never keep up with! Not sure what your band is doing for you!

    Tough Days

My food and vitamins have been right on. I work toward getting 80g of protien a day. Sometimes I fall short of that but nothing less than 60g. I also take sublingual B12 4 times a week. Getting about 2000mg a week which I think is the recommended amount. I think my problem is more mental than physical. I've been taking depression meds for about six years now and it seems to go in cycles, this is probably one of the lows that come around once in a while. I'm gonna hit the treadmill tonight when I get home no matter how I feel and see if that can shake this funk. Thanks for the advice. Take care!

    Dining Out

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one who eats salads without lettuce! I get the strangest looks, but my excuse is "lettuce is just a filler" lol

    My Goal After Lapband Success

Yeah, i'm anxious to get my goal. I already know how i want to look as far as my makeup, jewelry, clothes, shoes etc. I own two pairs of Louboutin shoes that I refuse ot wear now because i'm too heavy for them. So my first goal is walk in those shoes comfortably. My goal is a size 8. I really want this badly. I'm giving myself until december 2012 to get there.

    Step 1

Use the next 90 days to condition your mind and body to get used to the change that's about to take place. Start a mild exercise regimen. Begin taking vitamins if you don't already. Start eating with smaller utensils and smaller plates. Try not to eat and drink at the same time, and continue to scour through the posts on VST for any questions about this procedure and what life is like after being sleeved. Read the good and bad posts...It's a BIG life change and preparing for it before it comes will make the transition much easier for you. Wishing you the best of luck!

    Food Commercials

That is so funny you mention the "food port". For the first month after my surgery, I too recognized how many food commercials are on tv and how much everyone is always eating in sitcoms! Food I never craved, never had, never had a desire to have, LOOKED GOOD! I wanted to taste everything.... I think it was because of the weeks of protein shakes and liquids. LOL!
