Got a call from the fraud dept with my credit card company today...they made me hold, then an account representative came on the line to ask me if a recent "uncharacteristic" purchase in the amount of $119 paid to bodybuilding.com was a legit purchase. I literally laughed my butt off. I said, geez! Can't a girl have a new years resolution?! I confirmed the charge, which was my post op Protein powders, and one item I ordered for my mom, and the account rep wished me well...just thought I would share with you guys, hopefully you find it as funny as I did!!

I go to the gym 5 times a week and workout for an hour. I spend 30 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the eliptical, and 15 minutes on the bicycle. I was told not to do any weights or lifting until my next fill on February 7th. I eventually hope to do the eliptical for 30 minutes (that thing burns some serious calories!) and 15 minutes on everything else. Also, once I get clearance, I'll probably do strength exercises 2 out of the 5 days a week.

Surgery 2/17 But I'm Scared Now

I can honestly say that this has been the best thing I have done for myself. From the health perspective, look how much better off you will be having the surgery and losing weight. Maybe you don't have any signifcant problems now, but down the road obesity will kill you. So I can rejoice in the fact that I have taken the steps to become a healthier me. I also appreciate the little things. Like tying my shoes with no problem, sitting on my work chair on the highest level and being able to cross my legs! Oh, and buying new clothes has become a favorite past time! But maybe the last isn't a good thing!

Indeed! Crazy is my middle name I just feel worthless if I can't get to work. Plus if I take an extended amount of time off the work just piles up so I will be buried when I come back...ehhh, no thanks! I will catch up on the cooking shows and reality TV after an 8 hour day (as i plan on doing zero overtime).

    Too Tight Or Just Swollen?

Any time you cause yourself pain you need at least a day of liquids...tuna can be tricky for me unless it is loaded with mayo...

    Failing Home Sleep Study

I was sent a home sleep study machine. I used it last night and will need it tonight. I'm scared that I'll need to redo them. I maybe got a combined 1.5 hours of sleep because I generally can only sleep on my stomach but the nasal prongs would fall out. My mom told me not tontake sleeping meds because it'd skew the results but that may be the only way to avoid needing to redo it! Does anyone have any suggestions?

How Many People Have You Told?

Just told my husband. No one else needs to know. This is a private matter. No one needs to know. I think in general, we feel pressured to share with everyone, friends, family, co-workers. And sometimes we feel the need to share with complete strangers very intimate details of our lives. My weight and my health are topics that only my husband needs to know about. If anyone questions my weight loss, I will say , "thank you". I am not telling my mom, as she will spread it throughout the known world. Same with co-workers. I work in a relatively small workplace, and word travels amazingly fast.

Thanks for the tips girlz! my doc has me on 3 weeks of clear liquids and protien drinks, then 3 weeks of soft food that is things like apple sause and pudding, then I can have solid foods. I will be getting some protien flakes so I can put it in my food like my 0 cal home made apple sause and it is to die for if I can say so myself lol I've had many people ask me to make them some so now I'm looking into learning canning, so I can give them as gifts and if I can get it right I will put protien in it so Bariatric patients can love it as well as benifit at the same time.
