    Feeling Thankful

Wow, love hearing the praises to the only one that makes it possible. Thank you God! I too have been very blessed with so much, and I too pray for all my new fellow sleevers. I had my surgery on 12/12/11, six weeks ago. I have lost 40 pounds and have about 60-70 more to go. Ive had a few problems, but thru prayers and good surgeons I'm doing great. I have to go all day with nothing, not even a sip, to have my through streached today at 2:30. I smile because I know who has my back,(GOD) peace to all.

    Bandster Hell Or Real Fire

i think everyone goes through this. it took me 5 fills and 2 unfills in 8 months to get to good restriction. i am finally down 35 pounds and i thought it should be more, but my clothing size has gone froma 20 to 14 in those 8 months. i know noone wants to hear be patient and that it's goin to happen, but thats the truth. i was so frustrated i actually broke my scale from throwing it down the stairs. as long as you are doing all you know to do, until you get good restriction its gonna be a challenge. hang in there.

    Gym Success!

That is awesome! I hope that I can start hitting the gym again this week. I miss it, I think once I start doing that then my success will go through the roof.

    Fears And Concerns

I am sure we have the same concerns going in. However: going back to my old way got me into BIGGER trouble than thoughtfully advancing toward the tool we need. I am almost 3 years ahead of you. Looking back is like a mirror... however now the ME looking back is strong and more healthy than I even imagined I could be. There was NO hope in where I came from. Look at my album and see how life has been gifted to me. I was 57 and felt 90. Now I am 60 and feel 30. Praying for you to have "peace like a river" going forward!

Different Rules For The Same Tool "the Lapband"

Cali. From what I have read about the band 1-2 lbs a week is average, unless you have something like plication along with it. Why are you expecting to lose more? Kristy: I understand your fustration with the doctor's instructions because they are very confusing and counter to what most people are told. I would suggest trying to meet with a nutritionist to make sure you are on the correct diet but for the most part we are told that we should be eating proteins first, followed by veggies. I would say that you might be either at the right restriction or slightly too tight if you are having many stuck episodes (try going back to chewing everything very well and see if that lessens the stuck episodes). In fact I'm surprised that your doctor is telling you what to eat, I think that they generally leave that up to the nutritionists in the practice.

    Scary Toes

Be carful with the 'stucks' as you're not fully healed yet. LOL, I've been known to brush on a little nail polish before posting that pic (oh, and don't grab the camera until the weight registers first...I'm blonde). -BG

    Deep Gurgling and Burping

Gurgling and burping...all good things as it's my indicator that the restriction is there. I couldn't burp to save my life before, now...I burp like a teenage boy (I have two of them). Air has to come up for the food/drink to go down...think of it like a funnel. You'll get used to it. I love feeling the gurgling with my morning coffee, reassures me that the Band is helping me today! -BG
