Here is princess_n_thep "Here is Princess_n_Thep remarks on this picture" princess_n_thep: THESE PICTURES ARE 12 DAYS POST OP! Both pictures show the very minmal scars/incisions. The bruising I had was very minimal. The brown/yellow rings you see around the actual incisions is NOT bruising but is the leftover "superglue" still. I take a shower EVERY day and wash them but they are slow to come off. From what I gather, they "glue" the incisions, let that dry, then put a "coating of glue" over and around the incisions again. The scab had just fallen off on the top incision so it is a little pink, my bra had scuffed it off. The only real bruising i got was the one top of the belly button. The one that was the most sore was the longer port incision. I am VERY happy with the size of them and the expertise in the cut! I know that I am a fast healer but I expect that I would be hard pressed to find the smaller ones in 6 months. I will just keep posting updates on this thread as I go along. I plan to take another picture at 6-8 weeks post op, another at 6 mo, then another at a year. ENJOY MY BELLY!!!!!!!! princess_n_thep

Before I had my TT, I also wanted a thigh lift. The upper inner parts of my thighs were saggy and just didn't look good in a swimsuit. I also wanted breast implants and my surgeon would only do 2 procedures at a time so I chose the TT and implants. Well now I don't really need the thigh lift. It turns out if most of your thigh sag is at the very top and your doc does a really good TT that skin will be stretched and pulled up when they pull up all the groin skin. I'm not saying my thighs are beautiful and perfect now but they definitely are not saggy enough for me to spend the money or time on a thigh lift. I am so happy with my figure now:)

Congrat... I was banded the 12/29 and lost 35 on the 10 day liquid leading up to it. I worked out everyday and it obviously helped a bunch. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations! I was banded December 9. My first follow up visit was a week ago & I am down 25 pounds! My pants are already loose! My first fill will be Jan 16 -- a little scared, but I know that everything will go well. I started soft foods now. Let me tell you that scrambled egg I made (using Egg Beaters) was the best thing in the world! My son & I even took a 30 minute walk today -- which made me tired, but also gave me confidence that I can do it! I have a long way to go, but it truly is "one day at a time". Best of luck on you journey!

    Gotta Quit Smoking...

I just quit last week. I am using an electronic cigarette for the tactile cravings...there are different nicotine strengths you can get. I am using the 0% right now.

    Trouble with chicken?

If you are talking about chicken breasts, yes! I can't eat chicken breasts unless they have sauce on them. They are just too dry. Turkey, neither, by the way. But, I can eat chicken thighs okay, and dark meat, just stay away from gristle and skin. You should be okay with a tomato sauce, like chicken parm. or white sauce, though. Good luck Karen

    Protein Shakes

Hi. I have been asking the same question lately. So far I have tried Muscle Milk chocolate and EAS 100% whey Protein chocolate. Of these 2 the Muscle Milk is better but it has a little more carbs. They are both drinkable to me when mixed with skim milk and crushed ice. Someone suggested to freeze some milk in cubes to make them icy without watering them down. Others suggest adding sugar free pudding powder to make them taste better. I haven't tried that yet but I am going to. I like the Muscle Milk but some others here say it gags them. So you really just need to sample some and find what you can live with. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, folks! I didn't see most of them before heading out to lunch, but they are still helpful for the future. I ended up getting a tamale and some refried black Beans. I ate half of the tamale (it was small) and half the beans, and boxed the rest for another meal. The total amount of food was about 1/2 cup. The chicken was fall-apart tender and easy to chew, and the masa broke down very well. So far I have had no stomach or band discomfort, but I didn't take into account that the fat content of the meal might cause some intestinal distress. Luckily I'm on good terms with the other ladies who share a bathroom with me. This will definitely have to be a special occasion type meal from now on.
