Post Lap Band Surgery 6 Days

You can do this! Are you still on liquids? I am about 3 weeks post op and I am struggling with all the food too, but I have to remember that I had surgery because I needed help and so I have to take the consequences that come with the help. Hope you feel better!

I have been sleeping with a heating pad over my shoulder every night since the first night. So Weds, Thurs, and Fri and it does help so much! As long as I have the heating pad on my shoulder it has been, of course that doesnt help when u have to get up to do something. I have also been doing the gas-x chewables and I think they help, but I'm really undecided. But I do plan to keep taking them just in case they are helping! I also wanted to say, I am so glad that I found this site and only wish that I had found it sooner. everyone seems so nice and willing to help! Merry Christmas Everyone!

I am in the same boat. I was banded on the 20th and although I know my doc's instructions, boy they looked a lot easier on paper than they are proving to be in practice! I guess this is where a big part of the battle is fought. Seems that way from comments made by bandsters who are much further along in the process than we are. We just need to stick it out, follow the rules, and hopefully soon, we will all be on the other side of this! Happy holidays to all and a peaceful, quiet tummy to all the newbies out there!

I don't have any strips either. Just glue like stuff on top. They are still pretty painful and range from about 1/2 inch to 3 1/2 inches. I have a total of 5.

Hope the protein works! If you can make a cheesecake and not eat any, consider yourself one tough cookie!!!! Hoping each day gets easier for you. I just keep telling myself in a couple weeks, things will be so much better! Plus, we'll be doing so good and all the people that overate at Christmas will be wishing they would've followed in our footsteps!

    Want A Lap Band Unfill

This is crazy! BOTH PBing AND reflux can be caused by what and how you eat so you cant automatically say you are too tight! This is just a band holiday and since I look at this as a lifestlye for life (I dont diet and Ireally dont work out) I am completely against unfilling for a holiday pig out! I would expect a good doc to give you a similar lecture...snap out of it!

    Feelings of Loss

Here it is, November 15 already. My work contract is done here the 30th of November, so I will be moving home in just two weeks. I have such mixed feelings about moving home. I miss my hubbie terribly, but on the other hand, I have enjoyed being independant, doing what I wanted, when I wanted, etc. It will be different when I have to consider his wants and needs again. I have been living and working here in California for over a year, and now am moving home again, And this time when I move home I weigh 90 pounds less than I did when I last lived at home. My whole life style has changed! Although I still love to cook and bake, I can't eat like I used to, and the things that I fix are more health geared than ever before. How will my family react to this?

    Feelings of Loss

It may take some time for them to get used to the new you...but it's amazing how adaptable family can be if they want to. Since I've been on a weight loss program, everyone in my family is getting healthier and no one is screaming and crying over it. Go home with the intent of being happy and finding all the ways you need to thrive in your healthier body.

    Facebook?

Sorry if the post is crazy I am on my iPad... Iam about to join a private Facebook group with another december bandster. All you have to do is request access. The person running it will have to know your name just so she/he knows who you are. It's private/secret and it has it's own wall. So no comments on your wall or friend access to your profile. When I get the info...I will In box you. I was going to start one myself but since I was already invited, it would be good to keep it that way so there is a larger group. I suggested she open the invitation in the December bandster thread. BTW there is also a Lapband talk group that is private that I just requested access to. We will see ifi get it, there is 97 pwoplethatbelong to it.
