    Endoscopy Complications

Maybe the way they go in , nose or mouth , depends on what they are looking for. Or just Dr preference. I am glad I had anesthesia. I had a scope of my nose years ago ago and found it pretty scary. I have a deviated septum and cannot breath through one nostril. I was sooo claustrophobic and thought i was going to suffocate. My ENT said afterward we should have given me some sedation.

True Results in Houston .. Adjustment

I work with pediatrics and conduct / attend clinics in different hospitals and other facilities every day of the week. When a appointment is made, a time slot, space, and the time of various healthcare professionals is set aside just for you. You are asked to give at least 24 hr notification if you can't make it. When there is a "No Show" , as you did, then there is wasted time (and money) and someone else who could have used your slot. Imagine a hair dresser in a salon who depends upon her appointments showing up. All I'm saying is be happy they got you an appointment when they did. You are probably at the bottom of their list. Would not expect any special treatment right now.

    Eating Samples!

I eat a lot of cottage cheese! Today my hubby, who is an execuative chef, made me up a batch of the most delicious egg salad. I pretty much ate egg salad & wheat ritz.crackers all day. Lol. I also try to drink yo on the go, a yougurt smoothie, every day. Occaddionally I make my self mini pizzas on small tortilla shells. I don't do well with beef any more, sad b/c I used to love steak, so I eat mostly chicken.

    Pizza??? (no crust)

It depends how much saline you have in your band - how tight you are. I don't have much restriction (5.5 ccs in 14 cc band) and can still eat pizza with no problems (even thick crust). I do eat way less than i used to - depending on the pizza i can comfortably have 1 slice, sometimes 2 (some times 1.5 slice) - it all depends. I used to eat a whole half of a large pizza so i'm doing a heck of a lot better these days. I've been losing great - and maybe have pizza on average 2-3 times a month.

Be sure to ASK them how much is in your band. If you've been going to the same doctor, they should know. If they don't, then they need to. They can take it all out and re-inject it so they'll know for sure. It's YOUR body, it's YOUR money.... don't be afraid to ask them! By the way, I have a 10cc band, and I had it filled about 10 times, finally getting 9.3 cc in my band. That was a little bit too much, so I went in and wanted .5cc taken out... Well, she took out the whole thing and then started putting it back in, starting me at 7cc again. No restriction at 7cc. Went back again and up to 8cc. No restriction at 8cc. Went back again and up to 8.3cc. Very, very slight restriction. So I'm headed back again tomorrow and going to ask her to put me up to 8.7 to 9cc. I feel like I KNOW my level after 3 years, and I KNOW what is best for me. Don't be afraid to stick up for yourself!
