    Actual lap band surgery

So as my surgery approaches, I find myself more intrigued by the actual procedure! So of course I went to YouTube am found a video! After seeing how the procedure is actually done, it helps ease the fear. Hope it helps someone else. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-K7ZdFW4sc&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    I'm starving again:(

If your stomach is growling,,,, then your hungry. Make your Dr, aware of this, so he's not thinking Head Hunger. Once you have ate something, how long before your hungry again? How long has this been going on?

    Scared 18 year old

Im 20 years old & 12 days post op. And let me tell you, there is NOTHING to be scared about. The surgery is so quick & easy. There will be some gas pain after the surgery, but the pain meds really help. Don't be worried, we have our entire life ahead of us. You'll do great.

    August Rush in bandland!

I have been off track for a few months now and trying to get back on. My Mom died suddenly in December, and that was all I needed it seems, to go right back to the old habits. I know that I have been eating entirely to much and the wrong things. The past couple of weeks, I have tried to straighten myself out and watch what I eat,I can still eat more than the recommended 4 ounces at each meal, but have lost 6 pounds though. Does this mean it is time for a fill? I have had 2 fills since having my surgery last August, both times, the first day was all liquids and the second day I could eat the 4 ounces and feel full but within just a couple of days I was eating more than that. For those of you that have reached their "sweet spot", does that mean you are able to eat only the recommended amount or..what? Very confused as to whether or not call for another fill...please help

    Banded & The Single Life

The posts here have got me thinking about the whole moral issue of telling the truth and telling lies. In modern culture from birth we are given mixed messages (you MUST tell the truth at all times, or Santa wont be coming down the chimney this year to give you lots of presents lol) which is why some of us, when we contemplate these situations in any sphere of our lives are not sure what we should do. A microscope that only shows things 50x (I dont have a big appetite, I am a picky eater or some foods make me feel sick) is just as accurate as a microscope that shows things at 100x (I used to be obese and had a gastric band fitted to help me to lose weight so now when i eat yada yada yada) they are just showing things at different magnifications. Again, sometimes, when you look at something magnified 100x you are less likely to know what it is you are looking at than when you are looking at things focused 50x, sometimes giving too much detail can create confusion rather than clarity. So, there would be nothing dishonest about not mentioning it. Infact, i do not see why you ever need to tell anyone if you didnt want to, unless somehow not knowing put them at risk/affected your relationship or you were in some sort of risk or needed their support. Loving my microscope analogy, if i achieve nothing else in life i have this hahahahaha :rolleyes2: Dune.
