    removal of the lapband

I would be very wary of getting it taken out unless it is really necessary. It is quite possible that without it you may regain some or even all of your weight. Also why put your body through surgery unless you have to. A BMI is 23 is perfectly healthy. It is not even close to being underweight. Maybe you just need to make better food choices to help allevaiate the tiredness. However tiredness often results from the busy lives we lead and often has nothing to do with what we eat. The diarrohea I would get checked out - is the Dr sure this is band related? It is very unusual if it is as most bandsters tend to border on the constipated end of the scale. I would make sure that all possibilities were checked out first before having the band removed. The last thing you want is to go through surgery and then discover that you still have the same issues.

    SOFT FOOD IDEAS....

I made homemade apple sauce. Cut up over ripe apples put in a pan with a little water cook until they are soft, turn the heat down and cook until they start to caramelize a bit. Throw in a blender. I also added cinnamon to it. Yummy! I did a lot of chicken salad well blended. Canned chicken with light mayo and dill relish in a blender. Go a bit heavy on the mayo at first to help it slide. FYI you can add unflavored protein powder to both.

    removal of the lapband

I would imagine that if you're self pay you can just go to a regular lap band surgeon to have it removed. Lots of people have problems getting insurance to cover removal, but if that's not an issue for you I don't know why a doctor wouldn't do it if you wanted them to.

    Hair Etiquette: PG-13

If you want to make a scene, buzz a design into it! LOL. Maybe I will do! Give them something to talk about.

    Treating myself

LOL I thought I was going to see you saying you wanted to treat yourself with a dessert!!!! I'm glad to see it was flowers and non-food items. I think that's a GREAT idea - I plan to do a lot of shopping. I have never enjoyed shopping my entire life - because when I was thin up until 2nd year of college I never had any real money - when I got heavy the last 15 years I had plenty of money but no desire to buy "ugly" shapeless clothes in the plus size stores. I'm planning to shop til I drop for the first time in my life (sales and good bargains of course) as the weight drops. Those clothes/shoes will be my "treats" and I'm so looking forward to it!!!!

    Stuck Food....

What to do you do to work around that? I've never been much of a breakfast person and can't even tolerate yogurt before 11-12 but my dr keeps saying I'm messing up my metabolism by not eating breakfast...it's driving me crazy. Every now and then I'll try a Protein shake but I can normally get only a few ounces down before I start getting slimy...
