    Aggravating...

I am taking part of this free weight loss surgery give-away competition and every few days I remind people on my FB to vote for me. I have repeatedly told people to let me know if they do not want to receive messages from me. Pretty much everybody in my FB is a personal friend or a family member anyway. I only had this one friend (a female who used to be a police officer with me) that used a name of her gym as her username. Nonetheless, I did not know that anybody else had access to her FB account but it turns out her boyfriend, who apparently co-owns the gym with my former co-worker, did... I have never met the guy and he knows absolutely nothing about me! Yet, he sent me the below message as a response to my group reminder asking my friends to vote for me (I took out their names, just in case): "TAKE US OFF YOUR LIST FOR THIS!!! THANK YOU WE DONT BELIEVE IN EASY WAY OUTS SURGERY!! THAT END UP BEING UNHEALTHEIR FOR YOU IN THE END! BOTTOM LINE JUST QUIT BEING LAZY AND DIET AND EXERCISE MAKE IT A LIFESTYLE NOT A JOB!!!!!! HOPE THIS GET'S THRU TO YOU!! THIS IS R NOT C!!! JUST DO IT!! ...And below is my reply to him... Deserved? "Dear R, Thank you for letting me know that you would not like to be on the list anymore. I had no idea that somebody else but C, who is my former co-worker from the police department, reads this account. If you had just asked me to take you off the list, I would have respectfully done so without any further reply except "done, thanks". However, since you decided to offer your "expert" opinion on weight loss, I felt inclined to respond to you... Clearly you have not read my other e-mails or you would know that I very much believe in making diet and exercise a lifestyle. That is the very reason I want this surgery. It is not an easy way out as one has to commit to a rigorous pre-op and post-op diet lasting multiple weeks and then permanently change one's eating habits. Otherwise there is a serious risk of complications. It is simply a life-changing way to help (or force, if you like) people like me to make those permanent changes in eating habits. And as far as exercising... I love it and have no problems in that area. I have not always been obese and there are multiple reasons why I have become one during the recent years. One of them, without a question, is probably emotional eating. You, as a gym owner who gives out weight loss challenges that claim to be wholistic in their approach, should probably educate yourself on the complex nature of obesity if you truly want to help your clients. It is not as simple as "quit being lazy" (and there is NOTHING lazy about me by the way- what a stereotypical approach to someone with a weight problem) but you clearly are clueless about this. Rendy, do all of us a favor and take some time to educate yourself about the topic you claim to be an expert on! My best to you & C! Henriikka"

    why hide lapband?

I'm very open with everyone that I'm having surgery, and have been met with great support. Of course, those who know me know the strugle i've had to lose weight. I just don't understand why people feel the need to hide that they've had surgery? I'd love for someone to come at me and say it's "the easy way" or "cheating". they'd get a real piece of my mind! even those who i don't know well are receptive and not judgement about my surgery. Are there really that many people who give such hateful feedback? Just curious... Nikki

    In and Out Burgers

They opened new In and Out burgers in the Dallas area. I've heard of them from different blogs I read and knew they were 'extra special'. My friend who loves them couldn't wait to take me there to get me a burger. To indulge her and quite frankly to ease my curiosity, I went with her and my sister. I got a single and they got double-doubles. When I was eating it, I had to keep taking small bites and pulling off most of the top bun. She was looking at me like I was crazy I was watching her and my sister with amazement. How can people just stuff food in their faces like that? I asked my sister if she was ever going to take a breath. I told my sister afterward that I don't taste food the same way. Yes, it's good but it doesn't send me into binging or eating like a pig anymore. It's weird because before the lapband, I would have tore that burger up This time, I only at half of it with the bun tore off. Anyways this was the first time since my band in September that someone took me to a place and told me 'You've got to try this' and it didn't affect me like I thought it would or like the way it used to. So crazy

So I had some lunch with my dad this afternoon. Since I am the mushy part of my diet I went with two runny scrambled eggs and a cup of chili. I ate the eggs fine and a half cup of the chili and was completely satisfied. So strange. In the past I could have eaten that and whatever my dad was eating as well. My dad, couldn't believe the change. I can't believe it. So strange. Tell you one thing though, that was the best scrambled eggs I have ever had Glad to finally get out of the house for a bite...

    Body Bugg

I've been using my bugg for a couple of weeks now and I love it! It's syncing to my phone easily. However I do not like the food log program so I use My fitness pal to keep track of my food. It seems to be working... lost 9 lbs last week

You're a better person than me.... there would have been some F bombs and telling him to do somethings that are anatomically is impossible. I can't handle disrespect...

It will be 2 years come september for me. Lost 90 pounds Nope have yet to reach goal weight I get very small fills, for the first year I went once a month. Now I go every six weeks. I can eat just about anything, but I tend to stay away from bread and Pasta. I have never followed the drinking rule. Yes still have my band. I walk/jog. I eat a cup maybe a little more just depends. I don't like seeing that number on the scale go up, thats what makes me exercise. I eat junk on occasion otherwise I would feel deprived and binge. Exercise can be 30 min or 2 hours just depends. Surgery for TT eh I will wait and see. So far im not bothered by it. No protien drinks I get plenty of protien from my meals. I'm still losing. I see my nurse once every 6 weeks. You said you hadnt gotten a fill since August? You should def go and talk to the doc or nurse see if they can get you back on track. You are not a failure and dont beat yourself down. Sometimes it takes a little longer before you can get into the groove of things. Best wishes
