    Struggling Big Time

    First and foremost I want to thank everyone for your replies. It has given me a lot to think about. I have taken a little bit from everyone. I have decided to start fresh as if I just got out of surgery and also embrace the fact that this is definitely a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Again thank you!....I will keep you guys posted.

    Skinny Bucket List

    I saw this post and I just had to reply because I hit my goal and I am living my bucket list! 1. Fly in an airplane in comfort...done! 2. Fly in a small plane where they need to know your weight before take off (and I told the truth!)...done! 3. Walk through town eating a ice cream cone (a small one) and not feel like people are staring at the fat lady...done! 4. Buy a single digit item of clothing...done!!!!!!!! 5. Buy boots in a department store...done!!! I started at 244 and I am now fluctuating between 129 and 131...I had a life long problem with obesity, and this is my first time living as a thinner person...I am on a drug known for weight gain, so I am watching daily...I am determined to never weigh over 135 again!!!

    not enough skin??

    i think you must not have understood my post, I am not seeking major abdominal surgery to look cute in a bathing suit. I have huge amounts of abd flesh, that hangs off my small frame that I have to actually pick up and move when I sit down, get sore red skin i don't wear a strong girdle to hold it up and clearly looks like a disfigurment. I will stay positive and keep hope alive that I will get coverage for my panniculectomy.

    Stuck for a while

    That's why I love this site. So many knowledgeable people. I tried the pineapple juice and now I feel just fine. Thx everyone. I will find these papaya pills next. Hopefully I won't need them, though..........

    This may be harsh but nonetheless, here it is. I think it is incredibly selfish of you to come to this board and look for help and suggestions of how to do this journey the wrong way....and be so very blatant about it. You can put all the nice terms to it you want such as...being honest...but at the end of the day it is just blatant disregard for what this place is all about. There are many people on here who stumble and none of us are perfect but the goal is to lift each other up and encourage one another to get into the battle the healthy and correct way. If you are so clearly unable and unwilling to do so I think it is unfair for you to post it here. I realize that everyone's journey is different. Again I acknowledge that most of us will stumble and not always do things perfectly. But to just flat out say we are not going to and we are looking for a way to do things wrong and hope others will help us figure out how to do that.....is really selfish and destructive to the most basic purpose of this place. I really do hope something changes for you and you can muster up what it takes to do this correctly. You can do the right thing wrong...and it is still wrong in the end. We should all strive to do the right thing right.....and help others to do the same along the way.

    Funny Stuff. Some People here acknowledge that pizza is NOT a good choice for someone trying to lose weight. But look at all the people who went ahead and did it anyway. Jeez. And people wonder why the actual success rate of the lap band is so low. S.
