    Protein Shakes

I think we are having a HUGE misunderstanding here. My post, the start of this thread, had nothing to do with muscle milk. I was saying that I bought Carb Solutions and it was nasty and that I needed help finding a protein shake. You replied with advice about Muscle Milk, I replied back saying "can't beat that, thanks", and then you replied with the response of "don't be a smart ass". I was trying to explain myself but I guess it isn't getting us anywhere. I'm sure Muscle Milk is good, I'm most likely going to pick some up. Good job on your weight loss.

    Protein Shakes

I am sorry you see it that way but you are being overly sensitive about that response. I said "haha" just as laughter that I paid $10.00 for something that I found that tasted disgusting. Not a smart ass response at all. And by the way, I said I can't beat that price of the Muscle Milk you suggested considering it is sold for more than $5.00. That is what I meant. I was thanking you for suggesting a cheap Protein mix.

Um you said "You can't beat that price" and I replied "you sure can't". Not sure how that is being a smart ass. You're not very nice.

SMDH if you want to eat cookies and chocolate milk then you deserve to stay obese. Really???? you want advise here it is. I dont feel sorry for you because you said you will never follow the rules of wls so therefore you dont deserve any pity. If you are that tight but can eat cookies then something is wrong in your head. If you cant eat real food then you cant eat cookies. Im sorry but you do not deserve pity you deserve a good talking to from your doctor and see if he agrees that if you can eat cookies you can eat food.

This may be harsh but nonetheless, here it is. I think it is incredibly selfish of you to come to this board and look for help and suggestions of how to do this journey the wrong way....and be so very blatant about it. You can put all the nice terms to it you want such as...being honest...but at the end of the day it is just blatant disregard for what this place is all about. There are many people on here who stumble and none of us are perfect but the goal is to lift each other up and encourage one another to get into the battle the healthy and correct way. If you are so clearly unable and unwilling to do so I think it is unfair for you to post it here. I realize that everyone's journey is different. Again I acknowledge that most of us will stumble and not always do things perfectly. But to just flat out say we are not going to and we are looking for a way to do things wrong and hope others will help us figure out how to do that.....is really selfish and destructive to the most basic purpose of this place. I really do hope something changes for you and you can muster up what it takes to do this correctly. You can do the right thing wrong...and it is still wrong in the end. We should all strive to do the right thing right.....and help others to do the same along the way.

    lapband and upper back pain

I have been banded about 7 weeks - after my first fill I started experiencing back pain - it is in the middle of my upper back - about where my band would be placed - it isn't horrible -just annoying - has anyone else had pain like this - I really don't think it is muscle related... or acid reflux related - as I take nexium... just wondering. I will probably contact my doc if it doesn't go away this week - but I hate to have to go all the way back up there if it is just something minor such as swelling... thanks Anne:help:

    lapband and upper back pain

I had this when my esophegus was dialated from over tightness. It could be a sign. I had also just had a new baby so my pain could have been caused by that. Either way I would check with your doc.

    unfill before vacation

The lap band is for life no matter what event occurs why would you think a dr would unfill you for vacation???? Its not like your even close to goal. But really you need to rethink why you did this.

I know many of us....have been through tub after TUB of Protein powder. Many of these powders while having decent amounts of protein are impossible to choke down, and are just plain NASTY!!! I wanted to share with you all a product that I found that has litterally changed my life as a lap band patient. I HATE THE TASTE OF PROTEIN...it gags me. I finally got to a point where I just wouldn't drink it, and my weight loss really suffered from it. Then another gastric patient introduced me to Visalus. Visalus is a protein supplement, that is was rumored to taste like cake batter...I thought it was a load of crap until I tried it. I kid you not, the powder smells and TASTES like vanilla cake batter. Its unbelievable I have never in my life had something like it. Since I started using it, I have gotten rid of every other protein supplement I own. You will never need another. My shakes average 28 Grams of protein, and keep in mind your body only absorbs 30 at a time. I wanted to share this because I know some of you are struggling with not loosing anything for a long time and this BELIEVE ME will give you the kick that you need. I had been stuck at 5o lbs lost for about 1 year...and no matter what I did I could not get ANYWHERE...after a week of using Visalus I was down another 10 lbs. I cried like a baby on the scales because I was having success again, and it has just continued to get better. If you are interested in the protein and the products come check them out at http://michellegilmore.myvi.net/ Feel free to get ahold of me personally I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have about the products from a lab band patients point of view!

    Finally Told Someone!!!

First of all why would you tell your best friend first and not your husband who is supposed to be your best friend. I would think he is more important than your best friend who doesnt even know what the lap band is
