Risks of Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery has the same risks as any surgery, such as infections, blood clots and excessive bleeding. It also has these risks:
- Seroma, or fluid build-up, near the surgery site, that needs to be drained with a needle
- Numbness, usually temporary, at the incision site from cut nerves
- Scars at the surgery site
- Dehiscence, or splitting of the stitches at the scar site
