I had my first fill last Wednesday. No problems. It was rather easy actually. BUT...I am not telling any difference. How do you know when you have found the "sweet spot"? Should I be feeling any difference? I am thinking I'll call the doctor's office to see if they can tighten it some more... It's so frustrating. I was having lots of pain in my right heel, and wasn't able to walk like I wanted too. Went to the doc on Friday, and had a bone spur. It just seems like there are always obsticules in the way... Enough of ranting... Thanks for listening!

If you had restriction right after surgery, then you know what it feels like. Most people need several fills before getting that restriction back. The sweet spot is where you can follow the lifetime diet/amounts and you're not hungry for about 4 hours following a meal. Many say fills take 7-10 days to 'kick in', I'm not sure why. So some don't have immediate restriction, but do a week or so later. Ask for another fill if you need it and hang in there...we'll get there eventually. -BG

Definately hang in there. I didn't feel anything for my first two fills, the third ... oh yea! I could and still can definately feel it. In the beginning I was very frustrated ... but believe me in time it will come!

I had a fill on May 1st and was worried because I still wasn't feeling anything...well, whammo....I finally feel restricted today. Mine seem to take 2 1/2 weeks to feel the effects. go figure. Hold on. It will work

I know exactly what you're going through. My first fill; nothing, and when I called they told me that they have to "fill" you slowly and that it usually takes a few times before they find the "sweet spot." My second fill, I thought they'd found it. I event told my nurse that I didn't think I needed anything, but she took a look anyway, just to be sure. Well, it turns out that even though I was "almost" there, I wasn't quite there yet, so she gave me just a little bit more. That definately did it! So...I said all that, to get to this; it usually takes between 2 and 3 times, but hang in there. It is definately worth it!
