I don't really think age really plays a factor in how much you lose. You are young so you will probably have more energy to exercise and also your skin will probably have more elasticity in it so you may not need to have plastic surgery.

Good luck with your journey it's well worth it!

Seems like the younger you are , the better you'll recover/heal from the procedure, the more elastic your skin will be to snap back after you lose the weight, and the less years you have lived (unlike me) with really bad habits!!! I wish I had done this 20 years ago!!!

I have always heard it easier to lose weight when your younger but who knows if this is true. I can say My cousin was 22 when she had hers and she lost a 100 pounds ( she was 269 when she started and with out a day of working out) I was 32 when I had mine done and only losted 50 lbs my first year( I started at 227 and worked out often) so you never know.

I'm on the other end of the age question. I just turned 65 and having my band done on May 21. After fighting my weight since grade school, I'm ready! I bet I've lost 1000 lbs and gained it back over the years. I'm only (about 60) overweight this time but on my way up. I decided to do this after my daughter did so well. I'm in Arizona. Let me hear from ya all.
