I was banded on the 7th and am on full liquids. I've been doing okay except that I find that my band "holds" more than the 1-2 oz that the doctor told me it would hold. I can comfortably drink 8oz protein shake in 2 hrs...my biggest concern is that I'm continously "eating" because i don't feel full. I example, i had a whole can of fat free cream of chicken soup for lunch today...and yes i feel full afterwards..but only for 2 hrs or so. the soup is 6oz...but it goes down well...i don''t feel this "pain". Is something wrong with me?

I got banded on the 6th. I thought I was the only feeling hungry. Im not starving but I am hungry. The day after surgery I was starving. I can even digest some soft foods. I am so worried. Worried about the port flipping and just freaking out! The upside is I know the band is a tool that I have to learn how to use. I sometimes think that my hunger is more mental than physical. Just remember we shouldnt consume more than 800-1200 a day. When you feel hungry drink a glass of water or get one of your 10 calorie jellos. We just need to work through it. Remember Satan is a liar and a thief. God allowed you to take this journey and will not leave your side. Dont let hunger(satan) win. Dont forget your water.

Remember once you start eating mushies and then real food you will probley put some of the weight back on. This is normal. It took a long time and several fills to get restriction, around 7 cc's then when I got to 8 cc's I hit the sweet spot. How do I know because I started feeling full after a very small meal and I'm now loosing an average of 2 to 3 lbs per week. I was banded on 10/8/08 I started at 249 and now weigh 210, but I was at a platue for about 3 months. Be patient It will happen just be true to yourself and remember why you did this. FOR YOUR HEALTH. GOD Bless

It is really hard at times. I was banded on 3/30/09. For about 3 weeks, I wasn't hungry. THEN...it hit. I was so hungry. Some days I did good, some days not so good. It does take time. Keep your focus, and move more. I get my first fill this Wednesday. I am praying that this will help with the hunger. Hang in there! It's worth it.

im back on target. ive lost 9 lbs in my first two weeks almost and I go for my first official fill next wednesday. i need the restriction to move forward. My head is back on target. this week i will move to aerobics 4 times a week and eventually i want to move to 5 times a week but that will take a few months im sure. i dont want to wear myself out and then not do it all. the lapband is a tool and I am eager to loose weight and I believe that is what keeps me motivated. i know you can do it and I know I can do it... HECK, We all can.
