Im very scared i have no idea what to expect..is it very painful?? How fast does the weight come off?? I just need some advice about what i should expect after the surgery...please help me

The best advice I can give you is never compare your self to anybody else.. Many things will factor in a weigh lose. I know I wanted mine to fall off fast but faster is not always better. It does not feel the best but most are back to work in a few days.

Hello there, what you are going through is normal. I was so scared b4 my surgery... But its not that bad, honestly! I was banded on the 9th of April... The first couple of hours right after surgery were the worst for me, and that i was ok. It feels like you just had a c-section and can not use your stomach muscles. The gas is the worst of it all, very uncomfortable!! But they will give you awesome pain meds. My surgery was on Thursday and Sunday was Easter, and i was dressed and ready to go!

As far as the weight loss remember it did not come on over night so do not expect it to come off overnight! It is A LOT eaiser than you can anticipate! Be patient and remember after about 30 days of eating right it becomes a habit, just stick with it!

Mine is June 1. So I understand. My daughter had her's Feb 2008. She's lost 85 pounds, down to a size 8 and is going June 2 for her plastic surgery (lower body lift). The worst part directly after for her was the gas. My surgeon has said he has a procedure where sucks some of the gas back out so it's not so bad. But for my daughter it was only a day and a half. She had her surgery on Tuesday in Houston, flew back to NYC on Friday and worked Saturday. She's kept her fill pretty tight and has only had a few "incidents" that kind of freaked her out but it was more not being aware of what was happening. She now takes a mild acid reflux med which has helped a lot. But a size 8 she is and a new boy-toy and she's a happy little camper these days....lol. So good luck!!
