How long did it take for you to be able to lay on your stomach?

4/29 I had my surgery. Instead of the standard 4 incisions I only have 1 incision. I wanted to know how long did it take in order to sleep on your stomach. It's getting uncomfortable only sleeping on my back. If anyone can give me any ideas or tips that can make it a little easier to sleep would be great. Thanks!

I'm not sure about stomach surgery but after I had a lung biopsy I was lying on my side about a week after, maybe leave it a week or 2 just to be sure, your stomach actually needs 6 weeks to recover from any surgery so it would be best to wait that amount of time.

Actually you don't need to wait 6 weeks to sleep on your stomach post band, unless you are "opened up" the traditional way. It is best to stretch and "be normal" to prevent adhesions. I never heard that the stomach takes 6 weeks to recover from "any surgery"...but of course if your doc tells not to sleep on your stomach, then don't. I slept on my stomach from the start and had about zero issues.
