I am new to this site and recently had my surgery 2 weeks ago. I have what may be a dumb question. Where exactly is the port located? I have 5 small incisions that have healed really well. I dont fell any pain or soreness at any of the sites. Am I suppose to be able to feel the port?:thumbup:

Some people can feel them some can. Do you have an incision that is larger than the rest? When you get your first fill you will not forget where its at after that. I can feel mine now that I have lost more weight too.

Yikes.I thought the fills were painless? I do have once incision that is longer than the rest.

usually its close to the biggest incision but as you lose weight you will feel it more and more. just give it time

Like they said, mine is next to my largest incision (larger not just for the port, but the band goes in there as well). There's probably at least an inch between the incision and where the port begins. They don't place your port under the incision as that would make it hader to fill with scar tissue as well as easier to open up. It gets stitched or clamped to you abdominal wall muscles so depending on where it is and how much extra padding you have there, you may/may not be able to feel it.
