I had the lapband done on march 24th and I have adjust pretty well. But i feel lost, I don't feel like I am doing anything right. I have been on regular food for a week. I haven't lost any weight in two weeks and I've been having difficulty with bowl movements. I've been given a gift with no instructions on how to use it. I have a hard time with breakfast my morning starts early and there isn't enough time to make breakfast. I go for my first fill next week so hopefully I can get some answers. I've been having a hard time in finding a support group in my area. The one I did find only meets once a month and this last meeting was cancel which would have been my first so I am very frustrated that I am going to fail.

Keep in mind that the goal after surgery is to heal not to lose weight. You've got to give your body a chance to get back to where it needs to be. We all want it to be done overnight and that just doesn't happen. Be patient. When you go for your first fill be honest with the doctor and tell them you need more direction. Tell them you need to know exactly what you should be doing. Ask for homework! They are there to help you. Don't be embarrassed or ashamed to ask any question (bowel movements, etc.) You are not their first patient and doubtless they have heard it all! Stay on these boards if you can't find a support group -- it's something very helpful!

Did u have a pre-op diet? Cause that is where I lost some of my weight till I got my fills started. Everyone is different it just takes time to start losing. Ur body need time to adjust. It will all come together and u will be fine. The best support is the chat room on this site. They will answer all of ur questions. And as far as the issue with the going to the bathroom (bm) we all go through it. I still have issues with it. Call ur doc and see what u should take to help with it. I take maralax I got it in wallmart it is an over the counter med works in like a day or less. Best of luck to u!
