:sad:Hello all!! well i was banded on 2/9/09 and i got my first fill on 3/9/09 1.5cc with that fill i really did not feel any difference i was able to eat everything breads pastas etc of course not just because i could meant i did!! anywho i went back on 4/15/09 and much to everybodys surprise i had lost 17 lbs the nurses, P.A and my doctor were all in awe so the P.A asked what was going on why i had lost so much??? i told her i did not know?? i was eating about 5-6 oz of food and then a fruit of some kind this would satisfy me but would get hungry in between meals so she said "ok well we dont want to get you in that "red" zone" so you feel like you still need a lil help i said yes...after she could not find my port my Dr came in and questioned my 17lb loss as well after i explained to him everything he went in ang gave me 2cc's no now heres the problem since weds i can drink fluids fine i dont have a night cough or g.e.r.d BUT when i sit down to eat SMALL bites i get this "heart burn" feeling in my chest and i dont know if its heart burn or tighness(call me crazy) and then i get stuck for like 10 min and after that i can eat my meal with no prob what so ever??? yesterday i actually almost threw up i ran to the bathroom and gagged but nothing came up and then i felt better this is sooo frustrating because i cant sit down and have a "normal" meal can anyone PLEASE HELP!!:scared2: is this normal?? am i borderline overfilled?? am i overfilled? please i dont wnat to go to go to the dr and get an unfill if i dont have to

This may sound very silly but does it only occur when you sit or does it happen when you stand and eat as well? My train of thought goes to positioning of your stomach and band in relation to sitting and standing. Perhaps sitting is pushing up the stomach which makes the flow more restricted. I truly hope this resolves itself for you as your committment is strong. I applaud you and wish you the best.

sometimes that can occur if the esophogus is in spasm, and you eat too fast. it has happened to me a few times after my first fill. dry food can also bring it on. try slowing down, and waiting until the first few bites go down okay before you put another bite in your mouth.. it is an awful feeling! good luck!!
