Well, I was eating left over salmon the other day, and for some reason, it got stuck. I think it being left over it is just too dry? Well normally, stuck isn't all that bad, but this time it was horrible.

I had to wait a couple of hours and it actually, pysically hurt. Then finally it started to subside, and the went away. Afterward, I could just barely sip warm water until everything started to go back to normal. I was getting really worried that I would have to go to the hospital when it didn't clear right away. It was late friday and my local fill doctor was already gone.

I will never eat left over meat like that again.

I went back on liquids until the swelling from the barfing went down. Its been about 30 hours and I can tell I'm pretty much back the way I was and am ready to eat normal again.

Hi Jeffa, Yes, dry (especially leftovers) will stick, I take leftover salmon and mix it up with Philly (lite) cream cheese with chives, add a little bit of mayo, and it them becomes a salmon spread, and won't stick. The only problem is that everyone else loves it too and it goes fast.

I'm almost three years out from banding and have learned all kinds of little tricks. Hope this will work for you next time. Blessings, nancyb (was size 24 pants, now 16/14)

Sorry to hear you had trouble, I am sure we will all have to learn some things by trial and error.

Hello again,

For some reason left overs are just too dry. It's then time to moisten everything. I still get stuck once in a while even after three years, but am a lot more careful than I was at first. Remember, chew, chew, chew, and moisten drier foods.

Blessings, nancyb
