Busy; lost track of time

Well, I am sorry if anyone missed my whining, but I am back, and 40 pounds lighter. I have been swamped at work, and my Wife and I have been getting hammered with family issues, home issues, and of course money issues so I really have not been my jolly self. ( I wonder if jolly leaves with the big belly?) I am doing pretty good, all of my clothes look terrible on me now, I am down from a size 52-54 to a 38-42. It is amazing how fast I am shrinking.

 

I have had a few battle with my band, and the band has won every time. I have to remember to chew, chew, chew, and slow way down. By the time I was feeling full, my band had already put my stomach in reverse. (the little bastard) That is what I am calling my band now or LB for short. The only thing that I can not control is that when I lay on my left side, i can feel my band, and it is uncomfortable. That is the only time I feel it though. Well I am back and full of something, I go for my first fill on Friday. I will let everyone know how I do.

That's a funny name for the band. I have to remember that when I am in the bathroom throwing-up! I told my husband I could have just become bulimic with all this stuff coming-up. I had another fill (now 3 or 4) and it seems better now. I two have to remember NOT to eat bread, and chew and eat slowly. Good Luck!

hey what happens when u eat to fast?do u throw it up?or what, i am going for my 2nd meeting in 3 weeks, can't wait till i get it done thanks for info

Definitely, chew chew chew! Yes, if I eat too fast or too much, I throw up, a.k.a. dumping. I found this website to get food from that is made specifically for us! In fact, I thought its name was so appropriate, I did a take off of it for my screen name. It's www.bandtasticmeals.com. I love the food! It tastes great, it's very moist (so I can swallow it easily), I only have to chew about 1/2 as much and it's ready to swallow, it's healthy, and it STAYS DOWN! I was so happy that a friend told me about it so I thought I'd share it with you. Good luck with your LB!

I know we're not supposed to drink but occasionally when eating hot food or something that dries your mouth out -its juwst habitual if you have a drink on the table to take a swig-well i just don't order a drink now because if i do drink i have to go regergitate-not throw up like vomiting, but the liquid jsut comes back up and some of the food too. Chewing the food very well really does help too.

It's hell when LB makes you dump, isn't it? I keep a few MR shakes around for times when LB puts everything in reverse, 'cause I don't feel like eating afterwards.

Congrats on the clothes. You have my sympathy, since I too am running around holding my jeans up or risk tripping on hems. LOL! Ain't it grand?

I just got back from going to get my fill----well i didn't get a fill-they said i had lost 12lbs this month and that was good enough-wow i couldn't believe it-my scales must be wrong or i didn't remember what i weighed when i went last time. i am really eating a lot i think. Eat a hamburger patty (thick) withcheese on top for dinner, a real meal for lunch and usually some kind of slim fast bar or something like that for breakfast.. I have started walking 2 miles a day 3 days a week so maybe that is what did it-i just can't believe it--i am really eating as much as i want and what i think is a pretty good bit. Most of the time i keep everything down unless i do drink a big swallow of something before i eat and maybe one during.
