Hi everyone. I'm new here. First night. Listen....or read rather. Im six years with my band and for the past two weeks my upper abdomen has been swelling really big when I eat more than an ounce or two of food. I mean really big. My belly button hurts and so does my port and where my band is. I get sick at my stomach and I get diarrhea immediately. It goes right through me. I had my surgery done in Nashville, TN and now I live in Central WA. Its been 2 years since Ive had it checked. Think something could be wrong with it?:wink2::cool2:

Seek medical help now! If you have significant abdominal swelling, nausea, diarrhea & port pain 6 years post-band, this is not normal. You may have an infection, errosion, or something unrelated going on. Get to your doc or ER today and let someone know what's going on please. If you no longer have a band doc, the ER should be equipped to view the band and your abdomen to see what's happening. If it's an errosion, the longer you let this go on the more dangerous it will be for you. If it's been 2 weeks of this you're probably getting dehydrated as well. Let me know how you're doing later (and welcome to LBT). -BG
